Under teej’s excellent care, she’ll be just fine. Also she’s apparently a hardcore masochist, so she’ll be permitted to help on the front lines next time raiders strike.

lumpy the herbalist. teej was headed over to haul another deer carcass by where she landed, so she may have just lucked out.

escape pod landed in the middle of the night. gotta get the newcomer indoors before the cold gets to them

was just running out of meat when a herd started wandering in the area. 5 deer and a boar down. could last us the rest of the winter, but we have to haul each one a huge distance. Personal rooms finished, but no one feels like cleaning the bits of rubble that are left.

everyone sleeps together in the same room, possibly for the last time

a day or two passes, everyone tries to forget how Lute brought snacks with her to eat while cremating bodies. everyone except sander and stark works on building isolated rooms, so everyone can have privacy, sander cooks meals for people while they eat, stark hunts.

mal needed her rest (because she was grumpy, not because she still technically has a plague. mal don’t give a fuck) so i tried to let stark and sander handle the problem with the aid of the auto-turrets, but that went poorly, so mal had to come help. She was complaining about her clothes more then sleep though, and one of the pirates had some really nice pants, so that should be fine. One of the pirates was only knocked out, but our prison isn’t done, and he’s an asshole who’s only good for mining, so I’ll just let Lute go strangle him in the snow. Lute is weirdly okay with that kind of thing, I assume it has to do with age.

Shit, here we go. Pirates tend to be worse then raiders, because they’re better armed, but if you can capture them, they’re a lot easier to recruit, because of the whole speaking the same language as you thing.
