Freddie was annoyed the moment he stepped into the coffee shop, the frothy whipped topping from a child's hot chocolate colliding with the top of his leather shoe before he could side-step out of the way. He bit his tongue, politely ignoring a murmured apology from the frazzled parent on their way out of Deja Brew. This establishment wasn't his favorite for a pick-me-up, but it was the nearest between the meeting he'd left and his next one, so he'd deal with its inconveniences. The line wasn't all that long, at least. Freddie took his place, huffing so loud the person in front of him winced.
