hypnosis rundown

This is a rundown on what hypnosis is, and how it basically works. It’s not edited well since I just copy and pasted it from a conversation that I had, but it should give you a baseline understand of hypno

hypnosis is a lot like when you're so sucked into a good book that you just forget about everything and then suddenly it's been 2 hours and you don't know where the time went you just forget about everything but instead of focusing on a book you're focused on the hypnotist while in that state you are very suggestable for instance it's possible to link the sensation of dropping into trance to the word sleep and a snap of the fingers called a "trigger" that trigger would then be able to be used to take you back into trance quickly without having to go through the process of taking you under again "called an induction" while you cannot be forced to do anything that you're not comfortable with, you should still be careful with whom you do hypnosis sometimes certain suggestions can slip under the radar and I don't want you to have a bad experience hypnosis with the right person can be A LOT of fun so just be careful if you use any files, make sure you know exactly what they're intended to do. There are many ways of going into trance and different ones work with different people in order of most to least effective (generally) is: in person hypnosis voice chat hypnosis audio files text chat hypnosis some people find some to work really well, some find them to be  less effective. in my experience I personally can't seem to go under without being able to voice chat with the person. it's probably a trust thing those are the mediums of experiencing the induction, but there are also different types of inductions the ones that you see in stage hypnosis are rapid inductions there are progressive relaxation inductions (which are most common and are very pleasant) there are fractionation inductions there are confusion inductions there are A TON out there and finding the right one for you can be tricky. being able to be hypnotized and accept suggestions is just as much of a skill as taking some one under. so if you don't succeed at first, don't worry. you can practice and get better. also some people are better at different types of suggestions. Some are great at visual hallucinations while others aren't capable of doing so at all.
