The self hate here is terrible and delicious. Haruka feeling like everyone hates her and having to be dragged away from immediate self destruction is so well written here.
Thank you! I write so much, anymore, of settled Haruka who admittedly stil has her problems but is much more reasonable and knows when she’s being really rough with herself even if it’s hard for her to get out of it. There’s some delight in going back to a Haruka who has essentially no self-awareness and is just a pit of self-hatred.

YEAH SEE! TWO PARAGRAPHS IN AND I ALREADY HURT TOO MUCH FUCK YOU DOC. "It hurt because no one was there to hold her, to touch her, to give her the gentleness that she could never ask for..." RUUDE Yes! I love the detail about her being good at ballroom dancing. And HA! That one hurts a little less bc I know she can enjoy it for reasons that aren't solely for Michiru but also GAH THE 'BOOK WAS REALLY BIG, AND HARUKA READ SLOW'
I am so here for the little details, that’s what always gets me and so I love when it gets other people
