The workload usually lets up around spring, kids were refreshed from their break and the sun's warmth was finally capable of cutting through the chill. So how come only one week back to school, on a weekend, everyone seemed busy already? What Satoru didn't get was how everyone else seemed to be preoccupied with something whether special training or a mission, but he was free. His attempts to study in the library got quickly distracted by a string of texts from his sister, a lot of the usual life updates she liked to spam him with as if he cared, though it seemed she was out in the city. He responded to her between doodling ideas for formulas, until she started insisting that he go join her. Something about a really neat spell array she'd found.
Satoru was resistant for only so long until boredom finally took and he asked for her location and Hisako replied with the name of a park on the outskirts of the city. If nothing else, he'd have someone to bounce his current ideas off of. All his stuff got stuffed into his pack and he headed out on his own towards the exit of the campus.
It was surprising to sense a familiar presence approaching in the opposite direction, and Satoru waved to catch the attention of Suguru sauntering up the steps beneath torii gates. "Eeeeeh? I thought you were getting shipped out today, or did you finish that quickly?"
Satoru stopped when they got close. "I'm headed to the city. You wanna come if you're not busy?"
