i . vash is incredibly touchy as a person : he clings to people and hugs them and ruffles their hair & velcros himself to those he loves . ( we see this a lot with rem , clinging to her legs and holding her hand while also climbing all over nai , and laughing to the point he leans into nai and they fold over one another . ) then again , being on the recieving end of touch is also lovely , and though he might brush it off , it means everything to him , because touching him means you're not afraid of him .
ii . vash tells others how loved they are often : he thanks people for the smallest acts of kindness , and encourages others when they need it . he needs to work on receiving those words without blushing and kicking the dirt .
iii . vash and acts of service practically come with each other . need someone to depend on ? he's on it . someone in trouble ? he's there . stands between the innocent and the dangerous . would walk a million iles if it means someone else didn't have to do it instead . to the point that it is often to his own detriment .
iv . vash's definition of quality time ? it is simple . let's sit on the roof and watch the sky . let's go get donuts . lets take a walk in the middle of the night and chat about everything and nothing at the same time . he has a talent for making transient moments last a lifetime , and he holds even brief seconds close to his heart . ( evident in emilio's battle : he has good times with emilio before he tried to kill him . he hangs on to the good moments even while emilio tries to kill him , tries to kill his loved ones . because even a monster of necessity is worth his endless mercy . )
v . as for the last one ? vash doesn't own a lot . he doesn't get extremely material about the things he owns . his gifts would be small and personal and something that made him think of someone else . small , whimsical , a fleeting fancy .
best traits in a partner ; someone to balance his bubbly, almost angelic personality with a sense of realism . a good cook(?) , a good conversationalist . arguably , someone else who knows pain and horror and hurt as intimately as he does . someone who wouldn't be embarrassed about their wanted poster being next to his .
