Cinderink
Prologue
Once upon a time, somewhere in the Doodlesphere, a small book emerged amidst hundreds of papers representing different universes and alternate timelines. The object had a brown leather cover with some gold details on its edges; in the center was a title in charming gold cursive letters that spelled out "Fairy Tales." Although not a very large book, it certainly caught the eye among the thousands of simple white sheets that made up the Doodlesphere.
And of course, the book didn't go unnoticed by Ink, the beloved protector of AUs and the entire multiverse, who was just reading and rereading some stories from his favorite universes when he suddenly had the feeling that something was being created at that moment, and that this creation had just appeared somewhere in the Doodlesphere.
Ink got excited the moment he had that feeling, put the AU papers he was reading in their proper places, and immediately went in search of the new creation. Although that place seemed infinite (and in fact, it was), Ink knew how to navigate it very well, especially when something new appeared. If he only followed his intuition, he could find the new universe in the blink of an eye and start exploring it.
And that's basically what happened. Ink wandered through the Doodlesphere for about five minutes, only following his intuition, until he arrived where the small leather book was located. At first, the skeleton was very confused, so much so that one of his pupils formed a question mark as he observed the new object. Normally, all the creations that appeared there were represented only by sheets of paper.
–Interesting… –Ink murmured to himself as he floated over to the book and carefully picked it up, observing the cover– Fa-i-ry Ta-les. –He spelled out the title as if he'd never seen those words in his entire life.–Wow, that's a new one! –He said sarcastically, laughing– Is this another attempt to recreate FairyTale or something? –He opened the book, remembering that small, abandoned AU. He sighed in disappointment– That universe had so much potential. –He said, gazing at the endless horizon before looking back at the book and examining it curiously.
Although the object had just appeared, the pages were worn and yellowed, as if they had been read and reread countless times over the years. Just like an old fairy tale book.
The first page of the book only contained the same title as the cover, the difference being that it appeared to have been handwritten with an old quill pen, given that the letters were slightly shaky and the black ink seemed worn at the ends of the words. There was no author's name, neither on the cover nor on the first page, which puzzled Ink for a moment.
–Maybe it's an anonymous author. –He said, turning the page and finding a brief summary.
Since the book was small, the summary didn't even occupy half of the right-hand page, containing only five titles. But one in particular caught the guard's attention.
–Cinderink?
Ink was intrigued by the story's title. Of course, he had already come across many strange things created by the Fandom, witnessed some pretty… bizarre scenes and situations in which he was involved.
Ink felt a shiver down his spine just remembering it.
–I admire the creativity of the creators. But there are certain moments when that creativity scares me a little. –He said to himself as he looked again at the book's table of contents. The title “Cinderink” was at the top of the page, followed by four more titles that didn't particularly catch Ink's attention– “The Golden Apple,” “The Black Swan,” “The Wise Prince”, “The Little Triton”. –He recited the names in the order they appeared on the page, with a certain disinterest in his voice.
Ink turned the page of the table of contents and immediately came across that title again, "Cinderink," written in large block letters in a very old-fashioned style. Below the title was written "Chapter 1" and immediately afterwards a drawing, apparently illustrating a scene involving the main character of the story.
Due to the excitement, one of the guardian's pupils formed its characteristic yellow star upon realizing that there was at least one illustration in the book. Although he appreciated AUs that were purely written, Ink ended up being more attached to universes composed of comics and visual arts in general. After all, before being the protector of the multiverse, he was also an artist.
The drawing showed only a skeleton monster. He wore a dirty light brown long-sleeved shirt under a worn and torn dark brown vest. His pants were black, but so dusty they appeared gray. He wore a pair of brown knee-high boots with loose, worn dark brown laces. His bones were white, and there was an ink stain on his cheek, much like Ink. In the image, the skeleton was sitting in an old wooden chair, looking at a picture of a mysterious figure on the wall. It wasn't clear who was in the picture due to the angle, but it appeared to be the silhouette of a woman wearing a hat. The skeleton in the image had a dreamy look, holding a paintbrush pointed at a canvas with a half-finished landscape painting. The place where he was in the image looked like an old attic, with stone walls, an old wooden door, and several paintings leaning against the walls near the door. It didn't seem like a very comfortable or welcoming place to live, but the skeleton in the image didn't look sad. Of course, it didn't look entirely happy either; it just seemed… Hopeful. At least that's what the guardian thought as he looked at the image.
What was that monster hopeful for? Ink couldn't say, he only sensed that that version of himself had many hopes and dreams within him.
–Pff, I'm starting to sound like Asriel's battle with all this talk. –He mocked his own thoughts, letting out a small laugh, then focusing on the book again– Hmm, it sounds like an interesting story… –He said, placing one hand on his chin, wondering if he should read the story now or leave it for another time (although he would probably forget to do it if he left it for later).
He thought for a few seconds and glanced at the Doodlesphere; everything seemed normal in the AU's. He hadn't detected any bugs in any of the code, and it appeared there hadn't been any interesting updates in AU's that were in progress.
In short, Ink had nothing to do today.
Well, later he was going to watch Undernovela with Error while the two of them discussed certain recent events in the multiverse (they'll gossip later while watching a soap opera).
But that would be later.
The guardian thought for a moment longer, and when he finally made up his mind, he smiled excitedly as he closed the book.
–A little reading never hurts anyone!– Ink said to himself, then headed towards one of the floating islands in the Sketchsphere, sat cross-legged on the ground, and opened the book again to begin reading.
"Once upon a time..."

hello? is anyone here? does anyone still read errorink fanfics? oh well.
i've had this idea in my head for a VERY long time, i love fairy tales and errorink has always been one of my favorite ships. so why not combine the two of them?
this chapter was already written and posted a while ago on wattpad (more precisely in april of last year) in my native language, but i thought it would be nice to translate it into english!
i used google translate to translate most things, adapting and changing a few things here and there, so feel free to point out any errors or give any criticism so i can translate the next chapters better!
aaaannnddd... i guess that's it! i don't really know if anyone will read this, but if you do, thank you for your attention!
anyways, hope you guys have a nice day, afternoon, evening or night, bye! <3
FRIABLE CHAPTER TWO IS OUT !!!
Also going to start posting on and linking Friable’s blog to things , planning on finishing up the blog today so that everything is in one place
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Does anyone remember this weird AU/fanfic? I remember seeing it on Wattpad, but I kept stumbling across some art of it.
So Error was a doll maker/puppeteer, and made this giant six-foot doll, which was Ink. Only issue is the giant doll came to life, and I think he was very yandere (which would make sense, since I saw this back in the 2010’s). And it was, like, a dark, unhealthy love story of this doll maker and his puppet. And the characters used different names, but it was very much a Undertale AU.
And it’s okay if you don’t remember the name either. But I would really appreciate if someone was like “Hey, I remember seeing that too!” And it’s completely possible that I messed up a few details, but I feel like the creepy story about a doll maker making a six-foot tall wooden puppet is unique enough to go by.
I just need to know it was actually real, and not just something I convinced myself was real.
Base on the recent chapter of Curiosity Kill the Error by the lovely dear @shandycandy278
First it just a doodle that might not post them but then Shandy dare save the very rough sketch one!!! So I clean it up a bit because she deserves quality!!!
Also Error deserver it, he have to deal with the consequences of his action.
Soul Strings (Errorink) Chapter.4
Emotionless Colors
Ink was traveling through the desert of one of his least favorite AUs. This one in particular was hot and exhausting, but he needed to find Error. It'd been so long since he'd heard from his friend. He came to the realization that he said the wrong thing. Making fun of Error was inadequate at the least and hurtful at the worst.
He couldn't discern his thoughts, or place them in any particular order. Why did he care so much about someone he supposedly felt nothing for? Ink wondered if he was just bored, but why Error? Ink thought that he should be glad, Error hasn't destroyed any universes lately, therefore it made his job that much easier.
And yet, why did he feel a longing toward Error. As if he needed the destructive glitch in his life. In all reality, Ink was curious, no that couldn't be the right word, concerned? Maybe. Upset? Yeah, definitely. Ink stopped in his tracks, if only for a moment. He really was feeling something. He really did feel upset and worried and longing and regret and, joy? The creative skeleton sat in the sand, allowing his joints to get covered by the sand being swept in by the notorious wind.
Ink hadn't taken any if his vials lately, so it didn't make since why his emotions were dropped out in the open. Had something, or someone, accidentally caused him to start feeling emotions? He couldn't understand, how could a soulless being feel anything? Especially, pining?
That's what this was, pining, yearning, a craving, to be around his friend. He knew that he'd felt this way before, but it wasn't unnatural. Ink recognized in the depths of his memories that there were times when he didn't need his bottled emotions to feel. A time when he had a soul, instead of being an abstinent husk of what used to be. So then with the realization of attachment, he recognized other emotions: greed, regret, anger. Anger at himself for being cruel. Anger at Error for not stopping him, but mostly, anger at the multiverse for taking away all of these emotions.
He felt as if he could see the world in color yet again, the emotions in his skull were all linked to colors. Beautiful ones at that. The colors and emotions that plagued his mind could never be described using a paintbrush and paint. He couldn't believe it, and the colors in his mind became all that more vibrant when he thought of the one that must've started it all, Error.
He needed to find him, to tell him about the colors, about the emotions, about the joy and the regret and the antagonizing desire that penetrated from what used to be is soul. Ink stood up when a spell of dizziness fell on him, but he couldn't sit down yet, he had to find his friend, and he wouldn't stop until he did.

Sorry this chapter had like 0 dialogue in it.
I also didn't update yesterday because the snow storm knocked out my power.
I'll try to update tomorrow with a longer chapter.
I wanted to make this chapter all about Ink and his realization that his vials aren't what cause his emotions anymore, it's someone he really feels attached to that does.
