I, personally, really enjoyed DR:AE, although, the only thing I wish they had more of were different kinds of puzzles. Even though the puzzles were fun (I like the singing ones in particular), I felt that sometimes it just...ended up getting more tiring whenever things were repeated, and since I'm not looking for perfection within the gameplay, I tend to go with the easiest route to achieve results rather than to focus on how to kill everything with the limited turns.
I enjoyed that the puzzles were making me change up my dominant strategy (i.e., shibirero and then pick everything that survives off with kowarero), but yeah I agree that more variety in the puzzles would have been a great idea. That or structure the game in a way where using certain combinations is the easiest/most efficient way to progress.
Also Fukawa not up and telling you how to solve a riddle the second it starts would’ve been nice.
