For anon! Ersgirl was originally designed based on anon's experiences as a nonbinary transfem and they were nice to let me expand upon the concept.
The ers- prefix comes from ’ersatz’ meaning imitation, simulated, or pseudo-.
The ersgirl and ersboy symbols have partially dotted lines symbolizing not having typical gender experiences. The ersboygirl/fluid symbol combines the two symbols to represent being both, and also has wavy lines to represent fluidity and non-conformity. Ersgirl and ersboy can also be called erswoman and ersman.
