Noir is the “I am agender. That means I have no perception of gender to myself.” type of agender. Shoko is “I’m a literal gender void lol” type of agender. Both are valid. (I would like to see them and Renho interact.)
Okay, so who's the "I forget that gender is a fucking thing until someone says something about gender" then? (because that is how I was as a kid. Someone would say "she" when talking about me and I would go "Holy shit! That's right, I'm a girl!" which, I wasn't but I didn't realize that til later).
I don't think Renho is that kind of agender that I described, but probably more closer to Noir's type of agender-ness. Maybe a bit of like, "let me just opt out of both because I feel uncomfortable in either situation and want to just be outside of everything" type of agender (I'll be honest, I definitely need to think more about Renho because I think they are the least developed mermaid in my mind, at the moment at least)
