I wish Marvel would place a moratorium on that entire category of plot device. I think it must be an extreme trigger for many of the characters at this point and a fair number of fans.
If I were lord high god of Marvel, I'd put a moratorium on any and all memory wipes/amnesia at this point not even because I hate them but because they're so often excuses for lazy writing and/or get-out-of-consequences-free cards and have been done to death recently to boot.
Hickman gets a pass in that at least his memory wipe plot involves an interesting moral dilemma, causes consequences instead of avoiding them, and involves knowledge of a single thing being erased rather than "Let's remove an integral part of who a character is!" or "Carol Danvers hasn't been violated and mindraped enough! Let's do it some more!" (plus the fact that it's knowlege of a single thing - the Illuminati's plan - rather than whole chunks of who and what makes the character who they are and the fact that it's effectively undone almost immediately salvages it from the horror-squick-trigger zone)
(Also character deaths would be limited to one per writer per group of related titles - ex: In your entire tenure working at Marvel you may kill one X-Men character, period, and one Avengers-related character, period, so make it count - in hopes that this would force writers to learn some additional ways of generating drama and prevent the need for a continual revolving door of death/resurrection in order to keep the Marvel U from being totally depopulated)
