did they also announce a character was gay and killed off their love interest? give the so called interest 2 lines? didn’t give the one who was alive ANY time to properly grieve? didn’t give them any romantic scenes?

with LOK the romance was planned. the couple at least got a chance to fucking hold hands on screen. 

honestly, so far in voltron we’ve seen random het ships in the actual show like keith x allura, then keith x axca, hunk x shay, then hunk x pidge then back to shay, lance x allura, then weirdly implying lance x romelle for one hot second for NO reason. 

for a show that claims to love “slow burn” they really have no idea how that kinda relationship works and are pulling at random straws. they’re pulling up all these random plotlines and not doing ANYTHING with them?? listen, i’d take a “we’re not actually doing any lgbt rep” than a “we’re going to claim to be progressive but not actually show anything in the series” and using it as shock factor to gain attention. 

even if another lgbt representation becomes canon, it really doesn’t excuse how the writers treated adam and shiro and the fans.
