I don't hate the architecture on Summerset in general, but I wish there was more variation. All the cities seem to look the same. Haven't actually seen the Crystal Tower yet though.

It’s kinda one of ESO’s biggest problems, IMO, which I guess comes with the territory of it being an MMO.  It’s especially bad with the base game zones, given that some provinces were present in their entirety (Valenwood, and most of High Rock) but look exactly the same from one end to the other.

It was a cool idea, but was kind of boring in practice. I liked how boring the quest-giver guy was though.

I think it may just be that I’ve already played through it four times since Summerset’s lauch but...yeah...it didn’t really have much going for it, with the lore or otherwise.  I do agree about whatshisname, though.  Most of the humor was at his expense and I loved it.  “You stole a book from something called “The Screaming Library”?”

I'd like to get ESO sometime, mostly just to play solo and explore. But I'm a little stuck on what version to get; Summerset or Morrowind. Seeing as you play the game, what do you think?

Summerset.

Morrowind is last year’s chapter, and it’s basically been turned into DLC.  I’m not sure if it’s still happening since it went live early on PC, but preordering Summerset was supposed to give you access to Morrowind for free.

Fake Edit: The main website says the offer’s there until June 9, the “official” release on all platforms.  So yeah, “preordering” Summerset gets you both.

Most of the people I see around don't like ESO. I've never played it, but it's refreshing to see someone who really enjoyed it.

Yeah like, I actually used to be one of those people that trashed it mercilessly back when it came out but over time I and apparently a bunch of other people chilled out because by the time I got into it the general opinion had changed.  At least from those I was around.

It still has a lot of things I dislike and some of the harsh criticisms it still gets are kind-of justified, but overall it’s a great addition to the franchise.  imo the lore it adds and explores has always been a 4/5 and it explores things we’ll probably never see in a main TES game (at least at the rate the games are made.  Example: it expands on Argonian lore and incorporates concepts that were considered OOG before then)

I’d be disappointed if it was forgotten by the next single player TES game.
