The harvest has been great this year.

So the Grey Dawn sneaks up on a Druid ritual that’s going to happen with the fire cult we’re trying to stop. They have a giant wicker man that’s set on fire and we sneak up to try and dispel it. Lapis sneaks up to the scaffolding to take out a couple sentries while Kaz’goth and Erys wait.

After she takes out two, Erys casts dispel magic on the fire (which we assumed was magical since it had been burning for days) to find out it was the wicker man who was magic and it was a cage holding a fire elemental. Which none of us were expecting so it was hilarious because the spell works and let’s out the elemental.

So we all just ran away as fast as we could.

Had the most effective use of spirit guardians I think I will ever have.

We had a room full of cultist monks after us so I stationed Erys by the door so they all had to run through my guardians to attack the rest of the party. It did a pretty solid amount of damage which was good because I was running out of spells and hp and toll the dead was not cutting it.

Also, because Erys is a grave cleric I made his guardians little ghosties.

Erys’ and Lapis’ sibling bickering is 👌🏼

When you use your channel divinity to buff the next hit from your party to make the enemy vulnerable to whatever the damage is and your paladin crits them on it... and they do 50 points of damage.

Dude was close to death anyway but it was still amazing and I don’t think it’ll ever happen again.

I rolled TWO crits with my war hammer on a wereboar we were fighting AND HE WAS IMMUNE TO THE DAMAGE. One was to see if bludgeoning would do anything the second was an opportunity attack I knew would do nothing but I rolled a 20.

I was then absorbed by a water elemental and had my ass handed to me for several rounds by it and the the goons we monikered the “barnacle bois,” knocked unconscious and immediately rolled a three on my death save. Thankfully @aceofwonders saved my ass with a lay on hands. It was a rough encounter ya’ll but it was awesome.
