Plot Bunnies
Below are plot bunnies that we encourage you to use as a base for storylines with other members of the group! To submit a plot bunny for points, just comment on your team leader’s blog.
Horror/Thriller
Scream: There is a killer running around in your town. Muse A and Muse B are both receiving phone calls from the killer, along with their neighbors and friends. One by one, people around them are getting killed. Will they be able to defeat the killer, or will he get away and leave them constantly looking over their shoulders?
Friday the 13th: Muse A and Muse B are going camping together. The area they decide on has a history. A long time ago, a man went on a killing spree and was never found. Every summer there are more murders and sightings of the man. Will Muse A and Muse B have a safe trip, or will they run into the killer?
Kidnapped: Muse A and Muse B are kidnapped together. Will they escape before getting hurt, kill their captors, or endure pain that will bond them together for life?
Online Creep: Muse A and Muse B are both talking to the same person online. They are both asked to meet up with the person separately. When they show up, they have a decent time with said person – until they wake up feeling hungover and realize they were drugged, now stuck together in a basement. Will Muse A and Muse B be able to put their heads together and escape from the creep? Will this help them form a friendship through the shared experience?
Haunted Museum: Muse A and Muse B decide to check out a haunted museum together. They have a good time checking out all of the so-called haunted items. They are warned not to touch anything, but Muse A decided to do it anyway while Muse B takes pictures. On their way home, they get into an accident. From that point, scary and terrible things continue to keep happening to them. What are they going to do now?
Would You Rather: Muse A and Muse B are both looking for ways to earn extra money. They hear about a man who is paying people to have dinner with him as long as they partake in an adult game of Would You Rather. Both of them, along with a small group of others, are invited to the mansion of the sadistic rich man. Once inside, they can’t leave until the game is over. They are forced to make horrible decisions, or get killed. How will they make it out of the house alive?
Sleepwalking: Muse A sleepwalks out of their house, and Muse B looks out of their window and sees this. Realizing that something is off, Muse B grabs their shoes and goes out to help Muse A, but by the time they get there, somebody else had already arrived and ended up getting killed by Muse A while trying to wake them up. Muse A had killed while sleepwalking. Will Muse B help Muse A hide this crime, or will they turn them in?
Relationship/Romantic
Unrequited Love: Muse A has always been in love with Muse B. They know their feelings are not reciprocated, so they find it hard being around Muse B, or seeing them date other people. Muse B knows Muse A has those feelings and feels bad, but just doesn’t feel the same way. It makes their friendship/or/work relationship complicated.
Married Too Young: Muse A and Muse B got married at a young age. As they grew up they realized they wanted different things in life. Eventually, they got divorced. Now that time has passed, are they friends, enemies, or still in love with one another?
Cheated: Muse A and Muse B Are/were in a relationship. Muse A cheats on Muse B. When Muse B finds out, they are crushed. Will they forgive, get even, or break up with Muse A. How will the dynamic be with one another after everything is out in the open?
Fake to Real: Muse A and Muse B are both being hounded to find dates for a mutual friend’s wedding. They have not met before, but both turn to dating sites. They get to talking and agree to be each other’s “fake partners.” When they meet up at the wedding they realize they have a lot in common, and get along really well. They decide to continue being each other’s plus-ones for various events. Somewhere along the line, they develop feelings for each other. Will they keep their feelings secret, or will this turn into a real relationship?
Failed Engagement: Muse A and Muse B were in a relationship. When Muse A proposed, Muse B turned them down. This broke Muse A’s heart, and their relationship ended. Why did Muse B say no? Will they ever get back together?
Family
Hated Family Member: Muse A and Muse B are not close. A long time ago they disagreed on something, and have never been able to repair their relationship. Family functions are awkward, and when they see each other out and about they try to avoid talking. Will anything be able to mend their relationship, or will it always be strained?
Reconnected by Loss: Muse A and Muse B are related but grew apart over the years. When one of their family members died, they were mutually, left a restaurant/farm/BnB. They both show up to check out the place and decide to run it together. Will things go smoothly, or will there be friction?
Missing: Muse A and Muse B are related and have a great bond. They talk frequently and don’t usually go too long before seeing one another. When Muse A goes missing, Muse B takes it upon themselves to figure out what happened. What happened to Muse A? Are the police helping Muse B?
Taken At Birth: Muse A and Muse B both get a strange call. They are told that the hospital made a mistake when they were born and sent them home with the wrong parents. Muse A and Muse B find out they are actually twins. How will they handle this situation? Will they become close, or will they not want to ruin the lives they have?
Friendly
Bonded over a Mutual Loss: Muse A and Muse B had a mutual friend. When their friend passes away they form a bond through the loss of that friend.
College Roommates: Muse A and Muse B were college roommates. Even though they are no longer in school, they stayed friends.
Childhood Best Friends: Muse A and Muse B have been friends since they were children. They did everything together, and always had each other’s backs. Are they still friends today, or did they grow apart?
Airplane Friends: Muse A and Muse B are sitting next to each other on the same flight. When the plane has to land due to bad weather, they get stranded at a random airport together. They end up forming a friendship through this experience.
Acquaintance/Random
Stuck in an Elevator: Muse A and Muse B get stuck in an elevator together. What should be a simple fix, seems to be taking forever, and they are stuck in there for hours. Do they form a bond, or do they find the other person obnoxious?
Stranded on an Island: Muse A and Muse B are both on the same flight. When the plane crashes, they end up stranded on an island together. When will they be saved? Will they get along? How will they handle being stranded after the crash?
Dating the same person: Muse A and Muse B are both dating the same person. Somewhere along the line, they find out. How will they handle this situation? Will they team up to take down the person, or will they try to destroy each other?
Enemy/Frenemy
Childhood Bully: Muse A used to pick on Muse B when they were children. Now that they are older, Muse A has changed, but Muse B still remembers the torment. When they run into each other all of the memories rush back to them both. Muse A feels horrible and wants to prove that they have changed, but Muse B doesn’t believe them.
Friend to Enemy: Muse A and Muse B were close at one point in their life. As they started to change and go separate ways, things became awkward. Muse A didn’t want the relationship to fizzle, but Muse B was over it. This caused a big rift between them, and things are still awkward to this day.
Enough is Enough: Muse A and Muse B were once in a relationship. Muse A wanted to commit, but Muse B wasn’t ready. They broke up and got back together so many times until they finally ended it for good. The two of them tried to be friends, but Muse A got jealous of Muse B being in other relationships. Eventually, things got so bad they couldn’t be friends anymore.
That’s My Money: Muse A and Muse B are both at a casino. Muse A leaves 20 cents on the slot machine and walks off thinking they wouldn’t win anything off of that. Muse B happens to walk over and presses a button resulting in a major jackpot. Muse A sees that Muse B used the 20 cents they had just left and tries to get the winnings. This causes a huge scene between the two.
Dystopian
The Purge: One day a year people can partake in any crimes they want for a 24-hour period. Muse A and Muse B have to make it through the day. Will they stick with each other and hide, protect others, or partake in the crimes together?
Black Friday: The day after Thanksgiving has turned into “Games for the rich.” The upper class, and those with a lot of money will provide all the items you want or need to survive, but it will cost you. You will be forced to fight others, or do things you may regret just so you and your loved ones can survive.
Back From…: People start to go missing and leave no trace of where they went. Muse A and Muse B were two of those missing people. All of a sudden they wake up back in their own homes, a few days later. When they run into each other they realize the other looks familiar, but can’t figure out how. Turns out the government is doing experiments on people. What happened to Muse A and B? Will they remember? How will they take it? What is the government trying to hide, or change?
Various
Jury Duty: Muse A and Muse B are both sequestered away for Jury duty. They can only talk to each other and the other jurors about the high-profile case they are working on. Do they get along? Do they agree on the case?
Adult Summer Camp: Muse A and Muse B both sign up for an adult summer camp. There is alcohol, games, and a lot of fun. Will they get along, become enemies, or will something sinister happen at the camp?
Save Me: Muse A is extremely depressed. They decide they are going to end their life. They go to the top of a building and consider jumping, but Muse B walks out and disturbs them. How will this all play out?
