Baby says “TRUNK UP MAMA” So lovely..@TRUNKUPWINES @sheldricktrust ・・・ Many of the orphans at our Reintegration Units are hesitant to approach grown wild elephants, but Esampu has no such qualms! This bold girl is very happy to share a drink with visiting bulls, like this one. While these wild encounters help her prepare for her eventual reintegration, they also serve as a reminder of how much growing the three-year-old still has to do! Forming a #trunkupwines Friendship Knot with their trunks! #Repost @dswt ・・・ Esampu isn’t usually one to coddle the babies — she once caused a stir by grabbing Maisha by her front leg and pulling her into the mud bath! — but she seems to have a soft spot for Maktao. They recently made quite a team in chasing off all the warthogs in the vicinity. #TAGWA Tagwa was rescued almost 4 months ago, she was found on her own within community lands adjacent to Mount Kenya National Park. 💔 . She is an African forest elephant and that is why she is hairy ( #awww ). According to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust @dswt she and #Esampu are becoming very greedy and stubborn during milk feeding times. ! 🙊😉🍼🐘 and we secretly love it!
