i honestly just hate this whole hating ballads narrative so much. like i like fun performances as much as the next person but it's good to have some diversity and a lot of ballads are actually really really good with great lyrics and message. it's also super boring seeing people complain about them every single year, like that's gonna change something. it's okay not to like something but the way some people shit on objectively great songs just because they are "boring ballads" really makes me annoyed.
