Escoffier Redesign! - More Notes and Sketches Below!

Good gosh this took me like 3 months - I am so glad that I was able to finish it. For this redesign of Escoffier, I actually noticed that she had a lot of core motifs in her design, which was enough to split into two different design ideas. I had no idea which one I wanted to choose so I decided to make my own little story for them and make them into two seperate characters haha The design with the swan motifs was the one I had decided to be the actual Escoffier, as that redesign was the one that had matched her skillset's aesthetic and colour the most. I had given her ballet aspects in the design as her skillset in-game really reminded me a lot of Swan Lake (you can give a try to spot them hehe). I'd imagine her moveset alternatively could have her dancing in ballet steps and moves. This decision was also due to the fact that ballet is a very strict art form, which is reflected in Escoffier, as she seems to have a personality that is both strict to herself and others as a chef. The design with the devilish motifs is Eglantine! I had incorporated the devilish aspects of the original design (the tail and pitchfork weapon) into her. The flowers on her arm are sweet briar, which is also called eglantine - representing her name! I had decided she'd be a kind of mirror fire demon sprite that is in a contract with Escoffier. She has a more brash and volitile personality, and is very rude. She uses a lot of fire in her cooking as it matches with her devilish design. In terms of lore, I honestly took a bit of inspiration from Kinich and Ajaw! But basically, after Esocoffier left the Fortress of Meropide, she was having trouble finding an assistant to help her. She would stumble onto an ancient mirror artifact during this time and accidentally summon Eglantine due to her wish. Eglantine is basically a mirror copy of Escoffier in terms of skills and appearance - she'd present a contract to Escoffier where she would be the perfect assistant for Escoffier, however, when the time comes, Eglantine would devour Escoffier's soul and completely replace her. For now however, she'd take a slice of Escoffier's life force as a deposit. Which Escoffier agrees to and thus begins their partnership. I might make a short comic for that cause it was pretty fun to think about, but that's gonna be sometime in the future! Below this are some sketches of their dynamic and Eglantine's true form! I also added a sketch of the hairstyles they wear while cooking cause I don't think Escoffier would have her hair out during her job. I also have the planning sketch for their designs below yea :D

This honestly was really hard and I learnt a lot in terms of art skill. It might not be my best piece, but I really went out of my comfort zone and I'm really proud of that! :) Overall, I hope y'all do enjoy these redesigns! If there is any improvements I can make to these designs, please do tell me! However, if you cannot provide constructive criticism and only have a negative view on these redesigns, please do not interact with this post and move on!!

Escoffier Redesign

Has her banner ended? yes. Is this patch almost over? yes, but I finally finished my Escoffier redesign! I really like Escoffiers design already (and her gordon ramsey personality), but I didn't notice that this girl is only wearing an apron as a top until I got her. I could never, I'd be too scared my chesticles would fall out. I decided to give her a cute dress underneath to cover her up a bit more and changed some other small details. I also gave her space buns because they kind of look like mouse ears. I really like how this drawing came out!
