From the Iranian cookbook - a soup of onions, potatoes, and dried chamomile flowers with turmeric and red pepper flakes. Eggs poached in the soup add protein. Topped with yogurt and crispy fried flatbread.
I made this yesterday and wasn't sure if I liked it, but the second day I really do! I think the flavors needed time to meld.
The cookbook described it having a "very distinctive" taste, and that is very true.
