How to store electric skateboard batteries in winter?
The lithium-ion batteries used in most electronic devices (cell phones, laptops, etc.) as well as electric skateboards are sensitive to:
- Use (charge and discharge)
- How we store them when not in use
- high temperature
- very low temperature
- Moisture
Maintaining the electric skate board battery is an important maintenance work, which can effectively prolong the service life of the battery
Here are some tips for storing electric skateboard batteries
1. How to use (charging, discharging)
If you can avoid full discharge and full charge, the life of the battery will be extended. The most effective method is to use the battery until it reaches about 20%, and then charge it to about 80%. Of course, in real life this is not always possible, as sometimes we need 100% capacity, but in many cases we can achieve this by planning how we will use the electric skateboard that day. If we use and completely discharge the battery, it is very important to charge it as soon as possible.
2. Longer storage time
If you don't plan to use your electric longboard for a long time (say more than two or three weeks), it's best to charge or discharge the battery to 40 - 50% and leave it that way (according to the Battery University website, the optimal storage charge is 40%). A good storage temperature is about 10-15 ℃ (50-60 ℉), but room temperature is also fine (generally between 5 and 25 ℃ (40-77 ℉)) if long-term storage is required and, if possible, every Every few weeks, up to a month, it is better to turn on and rotate the motor for a minute or so, as well as insert the plug into the socket, for example 10-15 minutes. The worst thing that can happen is a completely drained battery and no charge. Keeping them fully charged is also detrimental to their lives, so these scenarios should be avoided as much as possible.
3. High temperature
Very high temperatures are bad for batteries and can even be dangerous. Don't place your veymax electric skateboard and equipment in hot places, keep them out of direct sunlight during hot months, and never leave them in a car parked in the sun during the summer. The temperature inside the car may exceed 50°C, or even exceed 70°C (over 150°F), which is very dangerous because at such high temperatures, the battery can release toxic gases and even catch fire.
4. Although low temperatures around zero and below are not as bad as high temperatures, they are also detrimental to battery life and performance.
5. Moisture
Storing them in a dry place with good ventilation can protect lithium-ion batteries from rapid self-discharge and corrosion caused by moisture. If possible, it's best to place them on a wooden surface rather than a metal surface.
I wish you a happy and safe journey!

How do you maintain an e-skateboard to keep it in tip-top condition?
Skateboarding can be a fun and exhilarating sport, but like any other activity, it takes effort to maintain your skateboard to keep it in tip-top condition.
Clean your skateboard after every skate session. This will help remove dirt and debris that can cause damage to your board. You should also regularly inspect the bolts, nuts, and screws on your board and tighten any loose ones.
Use the right lubricant on your board's bearings to keep them running smoothly. When your board needs new wheels or bearings, make sure to use quality parts that are designed for skateboarding.
Wax your board deck periodically; this will keep it smooth and provide extra grip and control when skating. If yours is an electric skateboard, you need to replace the grip tape regularly, usually every 2 to 3 months.
Taking care of your skateboard following these steps will help it last longer and give you years of skateboarding fun!
Servicing your board will help you identify any potential issues that could sabotage your riding experience. With regular service, you can p
How to Ride an Electric Skateboard?
On deck ・Place the skateboard horizontally in front of your body and ride up the steps. ・Put the skateboard vertically in front of the body and step on it with only the front foot Notice that your weight is coming down directly from the knee of the leg you put first. This keeps the board stable without moving back and forth. Lift the other foot off the ground and place both feet on the board.
Acceleration The knees of the front legs are slightly bent, and the center of gravity is placed vertically from the knees to the ground. At the same time, pay attention to "stepping inward with the knees of the hind legs". Use the remote control to accelerate forward under the drive of the motor. Unlike normal skateboards, it accelerates all at once, so it's easy to lose your posture. Correct posture must be maintained to stabilize the balance of movement.
Slow Down To slow down, keep your front leg straight and put your weight on your back leg. At the same time, it's easier to stop if you consciously "stretch your front leg." If the center of gravity is too forward, you may be thrown forward the moment you slow down, so be careful. Be conscious when braking, and be sure to step on your front foot when slowing down and stopping.
How to Turn Correctly In order to flex properly with a power skateboard, you have to put your weight on the "toe side" or "heel side" of your front foot. As for the direction of the turn, if the left foot is the front foot, it is a right turn if the weight is on the toe, and it is a left turn if the weight is on the heel. If the right foot is the front foot, the left and right are opposite, so be careful.
Relax Your Eyes In skateboarding, when your eyes move, your posture changes and your muscle tension decreases. Keep your eyes firmly fixed while riding so you don't put unnecessary stress on your muscles and you ride smoothly. When using an electric skateboard, pay attention to the direction of travel, the direction to turn, the direction to travel, and try to look as far away as possible. Especially for those who can't turn well just by shifting their weight, just paying attention to your eyes can improve your posture, help you relax and glide smoothly.
Practice Upper Body Posture Since you're using your lower body to operate your electric skateboard, you tend to focus on your feet, but it's also important to pay attention to your upper body posture. For example, if you push too hard on the board, your body bends and you lose your balance. So if you look straight ahead and as far as you can, with your upper body elevated, it will be easier to transfer the weight as you imagined. Also, having your arms outstretched to control your center of gravity will help you maintain better balance at the start. This is because the horizontal length makes it easier to stabilize the center of gravity.
This time, I just briefly introduced the steps of how to ride an electric skateboard. For more details, please refer to the "How to Ride an Electric Skate Board Safely?" article. Electric skateboards are faster than regular skateboards. Once you get used to the electric skateboard, you can enjoy the thrill of speed.
How do you solve the "last mile" ?
The "last mile" is something cities have been trying to solve for decades. While getting to most cities is fairly easy and there are quite a few transportation options, getting around the last mile to your final destination is often not straightforward. At the other end of the journey, the "first mile" often suffers from the same problem. How do you get to work from your home or apartment to the nearest bus stop or train station? Recently, everyone is discussing the use of electric skateboards to solve the problem of "last mile". Skateboard enthusiasts who have used it have proposed the advantages of electric skateboards in solving this problem: light and portable, can be carried on cars/trains, etc., and electric skateboards do not need to be pedaled by themselves. What means of transportation are you using to solve the "last mile"? Do you think there are any advantages and disadvantages of the means of transportation you use?
