ESO Quests with temporary followers are always one of my least favorite things:
They're constantly up your butt and around the corner
I'm trying to loot urns, not Talk to [Skordo the Knife] about nothing for the millionth time!
Constantly breaking you out of sneak somehow?? Instead of being helpful at all. (This is a weird (old, oft-reported) bug in some delves etc. where you randomly get Detected by absolutely nothing. Sometimes it's not even the follower; just creepy unseen eyes in empty space? Like whatever demons cats always stare at, probably. Btw, the Vale of Revelry in Solstice has this problem majorly – I hate going there because of it!)
Speaking of "help"... here's Skordo getting us stuck in combat, fighting a skeever ineffectually for 10 mins while an enemy skeleton and I watch:
