My other major ESO end-game-systems wish, apart from a long list of Housing requests.
This is primarily about PC UI, m+kb. I have tried switching to console/Gamepad Mode UI to get around this, but I do not like Gamepad UI and it makes dyeing cumbersome in other ways.
UX issues.
The process to try dyes on PC UI goes like this:
1. Click the color 2. Drag mouse all the way to the other side of the screen 3. Click the slot to apply. 4. Repeat for each color you want to try. ...5. Get or exacerbate a repetitive stress injury.
When testing a lot of different dyes in various slots, all those click-drag-clicks add up. The "stamp" tool ("set fill") & other existing tools do NOT help with this. Changing to Gamepad UI is also not a solution.
Potential solution:
Pre-select the slots you want to change, then click on colors to fill all of the selected slots, instantly & simultaneously. Example: if I wanted to change the green body slot in the screenshot above, I'd just click that to select it to be dyed, then click dyes individually to fill it. No dragging the mouse back and forth 1000x.

It's not possible to preview locked dyes.
We have to use PTS just to preview dyes: example. Why not allow previewing on Live, just like we can with locked armor and weapon styles? It would motivate more players who don’t use the PTS to go for Achievements.

The Dressing Room – at Sugar Bowl Suite | ESO Housing
Testing a lot of dyes inspired me to make a well-lit dressing room.
Reskinned Sugar Bowl Suite, best wayshrine-port Inn Room in Tamriel.
I most often use Rimmen or Rawl'Kha for daily writs; both have convenient outfit stations with usually-good lighting. But I wanted to make one with a nice backdrop for screenshots, and where we're not at the mercy of time-of-day, weather, or other players' enormous flappy pets, spells and duels.
Hidden lights can be turned on to create different lighting combos to better see outfits and dyes:
Default – If you use this room, please leave it like this: extra lights OFF
Daedric Candles ON
Leyawiin Lamppost ON
DC + LL both ON
DC only + UI
DC only + Gamepad Mode UI
I also got to use the new antiquity, Large Solstice Bismuth Tower, that makes these beautiful scattered light effects. Related posts:
Here's Khajiit doing things around Sunport while modeling the latest in Solstice dyes – Shell-Tide Green and Dolorous Indigo (belt)! (Sash is Covenant Vanquisher Violet.) Posting shots as I go so I don't forget about them, left to gather dust in some folder.
A bit of plant shopping:
Bathing in the fountains:
(Which I'm obsessed with; #eso housing wishlist: some with greenish bottoms like this for our homes.
And there's an achievement for this! You have to be quick for a screenshot though, the animation is much too short.)
A few more dye tests of this costume and Drifting Sand Tunic and Sash on PTS (Can't preview locked dyes on the Live server, and no I'm not an ESO-billionaire D: )

#Dragon Rage Berserker's Garb
https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Tamriel_Beast_Collector - Beast Collector Violet. One I don't have even after nearly a decade in ESO. If you google these achievements, loads of players have trouble getting the drops. It's a fairly unique purple; more muted, darker, and matte than others.
Likewise: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Undead_Hoarder - Gangrene Green, a pain to get. Shown with Weathered Keystone Green (NEW U47) metallics. Beautiful muted green that's also fairly matte and olive-toned rather than cool, so there's no easier dupe for it.
Compare to my favorite PVP-only color that I'll never get because I don't want to do hundreds of BGs:
Pit-Daemon's Poison. Sorry ZOS, I'm a nuisance, always asking for stuff 🥺
A few combos with my favorite purple, Contraband Violet:
Mora's Mauve on the leather. I've ignored this one (PVP again), but really like it on this outfit!
Being able to preview locked dyes on the Live server would motivate more players to go after them!
Dragonstar Red; Magnus Setting Red is pretty close and easier to get (YMMV depending what you enjoy playing).
Doomcrag Verdigris; Weathered Keystone Green
Wisp Blue. We're really lacking mid-shade, saturated blues that aren't shiny or green/teal-toned.
Aurora Green. A nice duochrome green I've ignored on Live because I hate timed things and don't usually do Trifectas. But AA is an older trial, maybe this is not hard to get anymore?
Likewise Akatosh Scales Gold. But the new Weathered Keystone Green (right) is more a more interesting replacement for me.
Alchemist Bilious, Dominion Conqueror Yellow, Weathered Keystone Green
For once I've been looking forward to the EU PTS copy, only to see how this costume looks dyed. (Why can't we preview dyes on Live??)
Verdict: LOVE how it dyes!
A lot of colors are matte on this costume and look even better on this than they do on other clothes, like my favorite Drifting Sand Tunic and Sash. I hope future costumes dye this well too.
LMK in the comments if you want me to test a specific color.
↑ Weathered Keystone Green – NEW for U47! This dye is awarded for completing optional content in the two new dungeons. Looks like This dye is gorgeous, so I'm gonna have to do that!
↑ Pit Daemon's Poison. I love this dye and try it every time on PTS. But I will never get it; can't stand BGs. I hope we can get a dupe of this muted, matte olive green for PVE achievements someday
EDIT: Speaking of PVP dyes...
↑ Alchemist Bilious, Storm Lord's Lightning, Weathered Keystone Green. Storm Lord's Lightning is another dye I wish we had a PVE achievement dupe for. It's the only red-toned dark purple that dyes matte like this on leather.
↑ Arc Master Moss. I love this olive too! Luckily I do have this one unlocked.
↑ Shell-Tide Green. Easy to get in Solstice.
↑ Void Pitch looks even better on Dragon Rage Bersker's Garb than it does normally!
I don't like VP on my usual Tunic because it looks dirty at the bottom. And it has that reddish reflection on some channels, which you know if you use this dye. That red tint is not present at all on this costume. EDIT: you can actually see it faintly on the metallic parts, in the light:
↑ Alchemist Bilious, Arc Master Moss, Ayleid Gold. Alchemist Bilious is sometimes too desaturated and shiny on some clothes, so I'm glad it looks great on this. I hope it looks this good on future costumes too.
↑ Artifact-Hunter Amber.
One thing I always wish for: better, more saturated light, medium and dark blues that are NOT SHINY!
Scholarium Cerulean is matte, but more of a teal shade than true / cool blue. Most of the other blues look nothing like their dye stamp, or look like the early 2000's called and want their metallics back!
On that note, the ESO dye station UI needs improvement:
I can't be the only one who tires of swinging my mouse back and forth across the entire screen dozens of times when trying colors.
And it's crazy that we have to use PTS just to preview dyes. Why not allow previewing on Live, just like we can with locked armor and weapon styles? It would motivate more players who don't use the PTS to go for Achievements.
One thing I dislike about outfit station UX: 1. Click the color 2. Drag mouse way to the other side of the screen 3. Click again to apply.
OP:
From the Akatosh vs. Alduin crates
Edit:
Still thinking about this outfit despite the review below 😹 because my main looks a lot better in i
