Espada Orihime AU cont. 🖤❄️🗡️

Lmao, this was a shitpost until it WASN’T😔🥀🙏🏽. But anyways, in an earlier post I yapped about potentially making an espada orihime au, or maybe just play around with the idea but I feel like it’s coming together in my head now. (⚠️‼️YAPPING BELOW‼️⚠️)

Ik this looks silly but there WILL be angst. Also Uryuu being a part of this came out of nowhere but the plot eventually formed in my head for his involvement and such. Take Uryuu as the substitute for the kidnapped friend who was brought to Hueco Mundo by Ulquiorra instead of Orihime. Also as some of those tags in that post suggested, Orihime doesn’t make herself known until later on, but she does try to befriend Uryuu.

Aizen basically made/gave her to Ulquiorra to quell each other’s loneliness, and Orihime being a powerful hollow was just a bonus. He didn’t expect her to be so powerful and for them to get so attached to each other though. Too late to change it so he just lets them be.

I loved the idea of her hollow part to be a dragon, since she does have some ties to that in some of her og concept for the series, plus it matched well with Ulquiorra also being a horned animal. I made her mask be on the opposite side so that they match well.💖

I’m guessing Uryuu doesn’t recognize her early on? I remember him being pretentious at the beginning of the series lmao so we’re just gonna go with the fact that his competitiveness/perfectionism blinded him to those around him. It isn’t until she brings it up that he realizes oop. I mean she WAS in the top three of the class so I find it hard for him to not remember her completely. Anyways, I’ll end up making more for this au. One of my more laid back ones that I find easier to characterize them in and find scenarios to draw them in.

I like to think that Ulquiorra gets jealous of the attention not being all on him but eventually doesn’t mind? They both were lonely when they first got to know each other, so he realizes Orihime just wants another friend, someone that isn’t him that she can talk to?

I’m cooking more for later but it will still be a sort of sad ending for the pair. However I think the addition of Uryuu will help drive it home. I don’t rly wanna say too much but yeah. Lmao.

And yes, I did write the fake article. I made it—or at least tried, to make it sound as critical as the media tends to be with female celebs. I just thought it’d be a fun spin on things.
