It was late.
At almost four in the morning, Pupupu Village would know no peace. A severe thunderstorm was blowing through town that night, and while those living in Castle Dedede could rest soundly with the assurance that their rest wouldn't be interrupted by a mere storm, it must have been nerve-wracking for the village cappies.
Thankfully, the brunt of the storm had passed. But strong winds, endless rain, and the continuing lightshow of thunder and lightning persisted.
Earlier that day, when the weather had been relatively calm if not cloudy, the beginnings of another scheme were forming in the throne room. The King had been promised a gift free of charge as thanks for his loyalty to Nightmare Enterprises. However, it would be delivered later that night due to unspecified causes.
Patience wore thin as the day grew later and later, and soon the throne room was abandoned.
Hours later, lightning brighter than the sun and thunder loud enough to quake the castle's walls struck. The Demon Beast Transporter flipped on and activated.
A burst of pink electricity illuminated the center of the console, shining with a dangerous white hot heat felt from just outside the throne room.
After the light subsided, it shrunk back into the floor. Left behind was a huge pink crystal.
There was something within the center of this magnificent treasure. An inclusion, perhaps?
Minutes later pass.
A crack forms in the rock, and snakes upwards.
