I wonder if the people bitching about the way the show is handling the aftermath of Bobby's death have ever lost someone (unexpectedly).
I think they're handling it pretty well and actually realistically for a change.
Athena putting off making arrangements/decisions? The case connected to the house fire Bobby worked? Hello distraction. Long live the bubble of denial. If the government is dragging their heels releasing the body, she won't have to actually make funeral arrangements and accept her great love is actually dead.
And then Chim bursts that bubble by having Bobby's body released. And that's why she snapped at him. Because shit suddenly got a little too real.
When my dad died I did laundry. And cleaned the house. Did a food shop and made dinner. When my mum died I went to work and let my cousin take care of things, because I was just overwhelmed and work was easier to deal with.
Athena hiding in her work, and chim being angry and lashing out at the world - because the person he's actually angry with isn't there anymore, is actually very relatable
