Today’s race was so important. Not just for us Seb fans, not just for Aston Martin, but most importantly for Seb. He had been battered by the media for the last year and a half claiming he should retire. Today Sebastian pulled off an absolutely fantastic performance. He got AHEAD of TWO drivers and battled it out with Gasly beautifully at the amazing pit stop with the strategy. He held them off and proved everybody wrong today. I hope Seb feels so happy and proud of himself. As he should 💚
Let’s also remind ourselves that Lance had a fantastic strategy and race also. P11 and was P8. Both drivers in the points was an incredible feeling. It shows Aston Martin is on the right path to becoming a very competitive car.
There’s a long way to go on it. But today was a fantastic day to be a Seb, Lance and Aston Martin fan. Let’s hope this progression continues and who knows, maybe we get to see a podium or two later on in the season!
