hii, late night espresso-verse question 💗 (it's literally still 8pm here lmfao)

has dean ever tried to use her cafetera on his own? idk I feel like he'd be curious about it or wanna surprise her one day with a nice gesture, but on the other hand maybe he'd be too worried about damaging it or something? 😭

Dean has tried his hand at using a cafetera to make espresso like she does. He's watched her do it a handful of times. It's not rocket science, he thinks to himself.

But to his embarrassment, he does burn out the bottom of the pot keeping it on the stove too long. The coffee bubbles over the top and splashes the hot zone, sizzling a stain on the surface and making it smell all burnt and smokey in the kitchen.

But she appreciates the effort, hiding a smile behind her hand when the cafecito is accompanied by some eggs, bacon, and toast — a little breakfast-in-bed action for Mother's Day. 🌸

now that we’ve seen her with both john and mary I can’t help but wonder, what would it have been like if she met bobby? (not a request I promise, just curious :p )

I think reader would've come to love Bobby's crochety ass. Of course she hears the stories from Sam and Dean — not only about how Bobby always comes in clutch, but how his house was one of their few safe places in their childhood (especially for Dean). When she sees for herself how Bobby treats the boys with such parental long-suffering (😂), she would also see that he's been a special parental figure in their lives.

Naturally, it takes Bobby a hot minute to warm up to anybody. Like Dean though, he'd come to respect reader for the heart she brings to cases, even if Bobby also thinks she's a little too soft-hearted at times.

The crust on his own would thaw a little more, though, when he sees the way she has Dean's back. The way she doesn't just care about him, but takes care of him when he doesn't think to do it himself. And because Bobby doesn't miss a goddamn thing, he also sees how deep Dean's fallen for her, no matter how much it scares him in this life they lead.

It would hit something deep and sharp in Bobby, because it reminds him of his wife, Karen — her warmth and nurturing nature, and the way she loved him despite his flaws.

Bobby would tell Dean, with rare emotion through the grit in his voice:

"Hold onto that girl, son."

Cuban food usually isn't spicy, but if she wanted to try her hand at making a spicy version of tamales (like Mexican style), she might accidentally let her hand slip with the guajillo, ancho, and/or arbol chilies. Like, you know when you get in the zone of cutting or peeling something up and you're feeling your music and your brain goes on autopilot?

Yeah. That's how Dean nearly coughs up a lung getting the equivalent of 20 chillies on his tongue, crying involuntary tears. 🌶️🥵

(reader also requires new lungs - mainly because she can't stop crying/laughing/feeling so sorry for him at the same time)
