Dear new professor who graded our papers based on his own requirements and not the ones that were originally attached to the assignment when it was given by our prior teacher,
We handed in the papers and then you came along and replaced our professor because she had to take a leave of absence. Therefore, the papers were written with her requirements in mind, her in mind as the audience, and the intent of having her grade them based on her rubric. You cannot expect us to have a paper that matches your totally different rubric which didn’t exist when the paper was written, give a low grade when it doesn’t, and expect us to re-write it.
This is bullshit and I hate you.
