RJS, single parent, fuck or die
Jace ushers Charles into Maia’s house. Yes, Charles because the four year old demands to be called by his full name instead of Charlie. Raphael always rolls his eyes at that but Jace can see the little smile he gives at his son’s antics. Jace kneels down, kissing Charles’ cheek. “I’ll see you tomorrow. Have fun with Aunt Maia.”
“Love you,” Charles says before running towards where he knows Maia keeps his toys. Jace watches him go, struck frozen with shock. Those two little words warm him in a way he wasn’t ready for but embraces nonetheless.
“Go,” Maia tells him, pushing him out the door. “They need you.”
Jace nods before turning and running. He runs all the way back to Raphael’s house, his heart jumping up into his throat. He lets himself in, walking through the house to Raphael’s bedroom.
Raphael gets out of bed, jumping up when he sees Jace. “Jace,” he breathes in relief. “Jace, he needs you. Please.”
Simon is a writhing, sweaty mess on the bed, a pain groan leaning his lips. His face is flushed and sweaty, his eyes glassy and unseeing. He’d visited the Seelie Realm for his job and breathed something in while he was there. He’s sick and the cure is the most unorthodox thing.
“I’m just.” Jace turns wide eyes towards Raphael. “Raphael, I’m just the babysitter.”
Raphael’s eyes fly up to the ceiling as he takes a deep breath before pinning Jace with a stare. “You’re more than that,” he says, leaving Jace breathless. “You’ve been more than that for a long time.”
Jace swallows before pulling his clothes off. Raphael turns to leave the room and Jace catches his wrist. “No. We both need you here.” Raphael looks like he’s about to say something more but a pained groan from the bed makes him nod.
They crawl onto the bed together. Raphael sits against the headboard, pulling Simon to lean against his chest while Jace crawls between Simon’s thighs. “We’ve got you,” he says softly, his hands touching Simon’s overheated skin.
“We do,” Raphael says, his eyes boring into Jace as Jace lines himself up. “We’ve got you, Simon.”
