estatica-tm said: Not sure I understood correctly, but why should you reblog something you’re not excited about from an episode you haven’t seen? You either watch the episode and decide if you like it or you don’t and act accordingly. It’s that simple.
I just still feel like the fandom loves Jisbon so much that you have to love them to be a member, and I like Jisbon, but I don't love them but still I feel weirdly like I can't truly be considered part of the fandom if I don't at least pretend to love them.
estatica-tm said: I suppose it depends on how these last two episodes go, but in theory it does sound a bit rushed to me as well. But at this point, I’m willing to accept anything, as long as they are canon in the end.
Canon yes, but married just seems a bit much no matter what happens in the next two episodes (although of course I won't be paying attention to much of anything related to characters other than the villain in Black Hearts). Especially if the series does get renewed it would be nice to see signs of a budding romance not a complete skip of dating and sudden them trying to readjust to married life.
estatica-tm said: Seriously, have you read your own posts lately? You called people idiotic and you expected what exactly? No one is criticizing you for liking Fischer, just pointing out that *every* opinion should be valid and not ridiculed. Which is what you did.
I said that many of the reasons people seem to hate her aren't very backed up...I'm sorry if noticing that people seem to be throwing hate in a character's direction for reasons with little to no factual basis then claiming hurt feelings when somebody calls them out on it is rude. How was I ever supposed to assume that when it's gotten to the point where the actress is also insulted simply for portraying the character that nobody should say it's time to stop...silly me, clearly every single actor is just like their character and isn't also a human being who probably would have their feelings hurt if they saw the comments made about them. I'm sorry, but when opinions are becoming that hateful sometimes it's necessary to call people out on their bullshit. I have been treated rudely in the fandom ever since I joined either because I ship RigsPelt and Angelick more than Jisbon or like new characters or had trouble seeing McAllister as Red John so don't even try to give me the hurt feelings bullshit.
estatica-tm said: Nah, I don’t think they’re really serious. Speaking for myself, I know I like watching Van Pelt and Rigsby together and I’m a hardcore jisbon shipper.
Hopefully you're right, although I have seen at least one user who makes multiple posts saying things like "why do they even write scenes for RigsPelt, nobody ships them and they take away from Jisbon time." (I'm paraphrasing, but that's basically the gist of the posts).
Thank you so much! I think I did what you suggested that already (only saw that option available for stuff I'm tracking, not for the actual dash). Now I'm also using tumblr savior, but some people simply don't tag their porn. I guess it's better than nothing :)
No problem :) Yeah, stuff like that sadly only helps if people tag their nsfw posts properly, which isn’t always the case. But I think your pretty safe now. Oh and thanks for your message :)
In my opinion, you didn't have to apologize for that, since she was the one trashing an entire fandom under the false pretense that she was just sharing her opinion. In fact, I'm sorry you apologized, since that only reinforces her shitty attitude.
I've talked with her and it really was just an opinion...just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean it's shitty, we all like different actors and actresses and have different views of who is and isn't talented. She wanted to see if anybody else shared her opinion and didn't realize that it would receive such a negative reaction...end of story.
estatica-tm answered your question: okay, guys, serious question here; if i set up an...
I’ve never tried it, so this would be new to me. How would it work? Create an additional tumblr blog and interact solely with yours?
First of all; comm'ere and let me love you!!
To answer your question(s): Essentially, although I'm thinking more like "indie style" than 1x1. [Long explanation under cut, heh].
For example, I had an indie account for the character Baelfire in Once Upon a Time. Through him, I interacted with other people of my fandom, but also with someone from Supernatural and one from Doctor Who. With smaller fandoms, like The Mentalist, there're few chances to do other things than crossovers. I, for example, RP as Lorelei, and she's interacting with Jim Moriarty form Sherlock. With an indie, you can interact with whomever you'd like (as long as they're indie accounts as well) and how many you'd like. If you've only got time to interact with, say, three characters, then you interact with three characters (and maybe state somewhere that you can't handle more threads). However, if you want to interact with ten instead, you go follow seven more.
I hope what I'm saying is making sense... Anyway;
1x1 is another way of RPing. It's usually two people, RPing a plot that one of them has previously posted and held auditions for, or maybe they have decided on one together. It's usually original work - so, not fandom related - and they're only "allowed" to interact with each other. It's a very strict way of RPing, I think, and usually "only" for the people with specific ideas in mind that they'd like to see played out.
So, what I was thinking is that we both make new accounts (yep, new e-mails, but I know a neat trick so it's not necessary to make a whole new e-mail; just put a period in there somewhere; Tumblr will think it's a new address, but it's actually not!), and then we RP with each other and with other indies. Well, unless you want to only RP with mine (I mean, do whatever you'd like), but let me tell you; it's very fun to see how two characters from different fandoms would interact, if they were put in a room together. I'm just sayin', lol.
In case you're completely new to the Tumblr RPing world (and in this case, I shall welcome you with open arms; I am fairly new myself, as I have only been here for less than a year), I dug up some helpful links;
How-to indie roleplay
Masterlist of Roleplaying Definitions
Guide to Tumblr RPing (Large list of things you should know as a beginner) Some of these are exclusively to RPGs, but most can be used for indie RPers as well. All very good to know/read.
Um, yeah, that's about it :3 Sorry for rambling, especially if you already knew some of this stuff! Only trying to help :]
