For context, the first time I brought up my twisted!Enchantress OC, Estella, was in the author's notes following a series where I wrote about my first and main Twst OC, Miss Raven. Estella is described as " a mix of the Enchantress (Beauty and the Beast), Giselle (in both Enchanted and Disenchanted), Isabela (Encanto), Frollo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Mother Gothel (Tangled) and Fairy Godmother (Shrek 2)". She makes a few appearances in the latter half of the Cursed Raven saga, though her first physical description comes in part 19:
It’s a lady with a flowery parasol, her gown a deep emerald hue. Her hair is golden, some of it done up in a milkmaid’s braid, the rest falling in waves down her back. A pearly shimmer radiates from her delicate, pixie-like features—button nose, rose cheeks, rounded eyes. One deep violet eye peers at her, the other half of her face covered by a swoop of flaxen locks.

(There's also mention of other OCs, two of which are her helpers and one who would've been introduced as a rival to Malleus.) She was basically going to be set up as a narrative foil and antagonist to Miss Raven for a sequel series, but I never ended up writing it because I need so much more Twst fae canon lore to work off of.
Estella is a diurnal fae of the flower variety. She uses her magic in a self-righteous way, believing that she can push people to "good" or to a "happy ending" by cursing them and putting their character to the test. This is the origin of Raven's curse. In the hypothetical sequel series, she poses herself as Raven's benevolent "fairy godmother", here to reward her for breaking her curse. However, she gets offended when Raven rejects her and then that leads into this whole conspiracy in which Estella was plotting to use Raven to achieve her own goals. I'll keep what those goals are and her backstory + motivations a secret for now, but just know that they aren't "I want to take over the world" levels of evil; she has a much more personal wish.
With the recent book 8 reveal that the Princess Glow may have originally belonged to diurnal fae, it opens up an avenue for me to better integrate her with the main cast. Originally, Estella was a vague acquaintance of Lilia's, someone he met on his travels and disagrees with on a lot of things. However, now I'm considering making her a diurnal noble who is set up for a political marriage in order to quell the tensions between her kind and nocturnal fae. Maybe with Malleus? But I can't imagine them getting along (not that Malleus is a bad person or husband, but more like they're a bad match and don't suit one another well). It could get into a separate conflict about how leaders have to sacrifice their own happiness for the good of their people, or how there's pressure from society + older folks (like the senate) for the youth to marry and have children. I also aesthetically enjoy the contrast of light/dark and flowers/(dragon)fire aesthetics--
I did not mention her by name, but my twisted!Enchantress was also supposed to be the special guest character that appears in Miss Raven's hypothetical hometown event. It's usually a family member or someone who is deeply connected to the hometown event SSR character, and since Raven's previous caretaker died, that leaves Estella as the prime figure to fill in that spot. Her presence in the event is meant to act as the Odile to Miss Raven's Odette, further feeding into the theme of duality and doubles. Estella is the black-hearted femme fatale willing to do anything to get what she wants, whereas Raven is more good-natured and soft, the ingénue counterpart to Estella.
She'd mainly be in the hometown event for flavor and to heighten the vibes!! Raven and co. would run into Estella and interact with her under the impression that she's also a visitor. They'd walk away at the end of the event not really knowing who she really is or how she fits into Raven's story. At best, she has this eerie feeling that she and Estella have met before, which is really the result of her sensing the magical traces of the one who cursed her.
