☢ Something about my character that I've never explored but want to:
His past, really. I haven't had much to think about in terms of his back story aside from him being Austin's brother and being a farrier. I'm really excited to though. The more I start to play him the more I start to really love him.

Poppy smiled as Aaron kissed her goodnight before ducking back to his bike parked around the block. She glanced down, making sure she had done her shirt back up properly, before letting herself in the house. She ducked her head round her dad's study, resting her cheek against the frame as she watched his work for a moment. She went forward to hug him from behind, kissing his cheek. "Love you, daddy," She told him, hoping Aaron's cologne wasn't noticeable on her.
John worked quietly in his office, finishing up his last bit of work. Normally, he hated to work at home and into the night, but seeing as how Cassandra was out of town for work and Poppy was out for rehearsals and dinner with friends, there wasn't much else for him to do. As sad as it was to admit, his social life had died down considerably after he and his friends had had children. He'd almost wished that he could call up a friend and meet them somewhere for drinks, but he knew he needed to be home, sober, waiting for his daughter when she returned -- especially since his wife was out of town.
When he heard Poppy's footsteps behind him, he glanced at the clock, noting that she'd made it home in plenty of time and hadn't even pushed her curfew, and he smiled slightly, feeling thankful that she didn't seem eager to worry him with things like that. He leaned back in his chair and placed a hand over her wrist, turning his head to peck her cheek. "I love you, too, baby girl," he answered with a smile.
raegan + nature
As soon as Raegan stepped off the school bus, like clockwork, she sprinted the entire way home. Not even bothering to run inside the house, instead, she dropped her book-bag at the entry of the stables before whistling, calling for Finder as he stuck his head out the stall door.
Without taking another moment, she immediately grabbed the tack, saddling Finder up for her daily common routine, venturing into the countryside. She was still in the process of breaking Finder in, with him being so young, he still had a sense of stubborness, every day was her chance to continue to build the trust between her and horse, and she never let the opportunity pass.
With a click of the tongue, she sped off on him, finding herself roaming near dirt roads and pastures. Nothing seemed to please her more than to be on horseback, surrounding herself with the sense of freedom — with no four walls holding her captive. She always found her peace of mind, a way to cope when things with her emotionally took it’s tole. And every time she was in that state, Finder seemed to respect it and completely obey every move Raegan signaled for him.
She felt at one with the horse and at one with nature. There was no better combination.
Eliza was having a spectacularly shitty day. Val had had a reaction to her meds so she'd driven her to A&E and spent the morning getting that sorted, making her late for work, making her boss pissed, her tips severely slashed, making her not have enough change for a bag of Skittles on the way home. She marched to Wyatt's door, giving him half a second to say her name before her hands were yanking on his collar to collide his mouth harshly with hers. "Shut up." She growled, drawing him back in.
Wyatt had approximately thirty minutes to get to the garage to pick up his car before they closed for the day and he had to fight through morning traffic to get it. He'd grabbed his wallet and had spent a good five minutes searching for his car keys before he realized that they were at the garage with his car. Idiot.
He jerked the door out of his way, shocked to find Eliza standing there, and opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off when she kissed him roughly. He wanted to speak up, to say that he was busy, but he knew the second that she kissed him again, he was lost. His will crumbled, and he pushed the door closed behind her, winding his arms tight around her.
Eliza had clearly had a less-than-great day if her anger was anything to go by, and Wyatt wanted to comfort her. But, seeing as Eliza was Eliza, she wasn't into being comforted, and she wasn't into Wyatt, but she was into sex with Wyatt, and it was simple for him to decide that that's what he could do for her, if nothing else.
Estella leaned against the doorway, listening to Deirdre play. The girl was obviously lost in the music as she didn't notice her presence. Little Cathy squirmed in her arms before settling back down, her lips pursing before relaxing back into sleep in that cute baby way. Deirdre's playing came to a stop and Estella cleared her throat to get her attention. "Dee, I've got someone for you to meet." She called softly, not wanting to disturb the sleeping baby in her arms.
The building Deirdre was in could have fallen down around her, but the girl was so into the music she was playing that she wouldn't have noticed. With her eyes closed and her fingers flittering across the keys, her body moving and bending and swaying whilst the played, she was absolutely lost in the melody, and this was her favorite way to be.
When the song ended, she heard a voice from behind her, and she whipped around, grinning at her friend when her eyes landed on the baby girl in her arms. The last time Deirdre had seen Estella, she'd been so pregnant she'd looked ready to pop, and Deirdre had made relentless puns about basketballs and watermelons and anything else she could think about.
She jumped up from the piano and skipped across the room quickly, standing behind the dark-haired girl and resting her chin on her shoulder. "God, Stel. So it wasn't a watermelon?" she joked, reaching down to brush her fingertip across the baby's nose lightly and giggle. "She's beautiful, lady."
Cassandra tried to smile enthusiastically as Anna pointed out more jewellery in a shop window, but it came out as more of a grimace. John's sister was lovely and she did enjoy talking with her, but shopping with her was another thing entirely. "Anna, darling, look," She said gently. "Shopping really isn't my thing and I'm absolutely hopeless at it. So, how about you find the stuff you need then meet me at Cafe Boulud - lunch is on me and you can show me all the pretty things you've bought."
Anna didn't miss the grimace that passed over Cassandra's face when she pointed to a glittery diamond necklace in the window of yet another high-end jewelry shop, and she giggled slightly at how pained her brother's girlfriend looked. It was odd for her, seeing how absolutely uninterested the other woman was in sparkly things, and she'd remembered how Cassandra had remarked that Anna's diamond engagement ring was slightly larger than she would prefer if it were her own (Anna had notified John of that, nudged him, and laughed when he'd blushed furiously and insisted he wasn't even thinking about proposing to Cassandra. "We've only been dating for, like, two years!").
"I swear this is the last thing, Cassandra. If I got any more jewelry, I wouldn't even be able to make it down the aisle, okay? I'd be too weighted down. Just come with me to get this last thing. Plus, John wants us to do more bonding or whatever before the wedding." Then, with a devious grin, Anna flicked her red curls over her shoulder and added, "Though I'm sure there's another wedding in the works here soon for this family, huh?"
