I'm going to beginning work on Estera again. Most of the work is going to happen off the blog so we can post cohesive and full ideas.

Due to getting a job and moving the plot and race posts have been a bit delayed. Also I would like to know if anyone is still interested?
Hey all
Sorry for the delay but im back and ready to get this shit rolling again if anyone is still interested. I have seen some of you have characters a few need to be edited as they have powers or story lines that do not fit Estera. If you have any questions please send them in! -Eli
Vampires and Werewolves
(Hi sorry for the long absence shit got crazy with my personal life but we are back) Werewolves and vampires are not magical. As the victims of a mutated curse and disease they hold no magical powers and the disease that causes werewolves it only effects humans (sMe goes for vampirism). Werewolves can be born into a family of werewolves or they contract the condition through being bitten by a werewolf. While full moons will force a change werewolves can change at will. Vampires are the result of an old curse and once again only effects humans. Vampirism can only be contacted through contact with their blood as the contagion and curse are carried in their blood but a small drop will not infect you it needs to be a larger amount or prolonged exposure or coming in contact with the original curse which is rare and almost impossible. Both werewolves and vampires are physically stronger than a human and can lift up to three times their own body weight though doing so for extended periods of time will wear them out. There are many blood substitutes for vampires as well as store sold potions to prevent burning in sun. Both werewolves and vampires are treated like that second cousin you don’t really talk to and no one likes because of their condition and they often live in slums or in outskirts of cities on occasion they live in abandoned castles or uninhibited woodland areas.
Sorry for the delay some personal stuff came up but jakz and I will be back to work on this. Also if you wanna test run your ocs rp using the Estera rp tag. Love you all -eli
Demons in Telim
Demons in Telim are actually a very different type of creature from in other worlds. They are not denizens of another plane or an underworld, but rather it is a name given to the genetically diversified race the Demon Islands take their names from. Originally a large group of exiled fae banished before The Great Wars, these original founders came from many different types of fae. Over time they bred together, intermingled, and mixed with the races native to the isle to create a large and diverse new race. The appearances and magical abilities of these peoples are extremely diverse and run a wide range. They all cast magic instinctively, like most other magical creatures.
IT SHOULD BE NOTED: Demons and Devils are not the same things. Demons are the genetically interbred peoples of the Demon Islands, originally exiled Fae. Devils are creatures from the lower planes, incorporeal beings that cannot manifest on our plane without the aid of the summoner. Calling a Demon a Devil is considered quite rude, and many will take offense to this.
((So demons are kinda like Australians, huh? -Jakz))
Mixed Blood Magic
In Telim, magic is a wide, and extremely varied subject of scrutiny. Perhaps the most widely seen is the magical powers discovered among the children of mixed blood parents. In this case, mixed blood refers to the child of a human and a magical creature. In these cases, the magic of an individual can manifest in one of two ways: A wizard, or a psionic talent.
A wizard casts magic using spells they have learned through their travels, or from an institute of magical learning. Collected in a tome, scroll, book, or some other item they carry on their person, these spells require regular study so the wizard doesn't make a mistake when casting. These kind of castings are a series of memorized words, imbued with an effort of will to enact magic upon the world. Wizards are bound to an element when they come into their powers, and they are all but completely restricted to this element. While a few spells from the other elements may be learned, they are all of very low power, and very few in number.
A psionic talent is a mental ability that the magic user is born with. Only one will manifest in each psionic, and it is impossible for such a caster to have more than one ability. This is an instinctual ability controlled by a conscious effort of their mind. Powers in this vein include such abilities as telekinesis, pyrokinesis, astral projection, empathy, and others.
