me for the rest of the month: black and white and some Benu sparkle??
Half-year report. Acquisition during Jan. and Jun. 2025.
Thought I had to defend myself for buying too many blue pens, but hey, it turned out ok…ish?
I finally caved and bought my Esterbrook Estie. The Jurassic colorway is so pretty. Mine came with more of the gray purple tones rather than green. Can’t wait to ink it up.
Jeez. What a beautiful fountain pen. 🥹 The new Esterbrook Estie “Evergreen” with gold trim is just… *Chef’s Kiss* 💋 Perfect. ✨

🐙💦: Esterbrook Ink “Evergreen”
I can’t be the only one who sees just how classy and sleek Esterbrook pens are. They’re comfortable to hold, every nib I’ve tried (and I’ve tried almost all of them) is a pleasure to write AND draw with, and they just LOOK hot, y’know what I mean?! Like, “need that in my collection NOW” kinda sexy. 🤤 It’s very, very hard to resist nabbing the entire collection of Esties. Have you SEEN the Cola and Tortoiseshell?! C’mon. Stop. You’re making me poor, Esterbrook. 😂
This is a limited edition release, so I’d nab yours before it sells out. The Evergreen fountain pen was previously released only with silver trim, but MY desk aesthetic is gold, so this fits my vibe perfectly. The Evergreen G has a lovely marbled cool green pattern that reminds me of vintage lever fillers, and that makes my little antique hunting heart sing. 😍 I’m excited to illustrate some pieces to decorate my office with using this beauty!

🎨: Diamine Inkvent “Velvet Emerald”
I never believed I could write comfortably with an EF nib, since my Esties in F write beautifully wet, so I gave it a try. And I’m happy.

It’s sweet, it’s juicy, it’s delicious, it’s my new baby. 💙
The ink has a beautiful reddish sheen, both are hard to capture. Not even my attempt under the daylight helped. 😅

Sometimes you fall in love with a pen from the first moment, sometimes you need some time to learn to love it. I would say, this is the one that made me say yes to Esties and start to appreciate the series.
And it’s also the first pen I bought in a real shop, not from the internet.
It has a fine nib, feels soft writing with it, and it writes beautifully. Now that I’ve finally inked a red pen with a real red ink, I can take a more traditional color next time for daily use.
Today is also npd. 😍
Learned about the new nib <mini stub> so I thought, why not give it a try, I was always uncomfortable writing with very fine nibs.
I apologize for my handwriting. 😂
It is indeed a stub nib, but not as mini as I had imagined. For comparison I wrote a few lines with a Journaler nib.
This is my third Estie, the fourth one is on the way. 😍😘🤩
