While Chester prefers sticking to his small social group, Cyd is more of an extroverted sort, so he’s generally quite happy to meet new people.
Cyd: “Chester, this is Esther Yang, we met while I was picking up some more food for Porthos. Esther, this is my boyfriend, Chester.”
Esther: “Nice to meet you, Chester! Cyd didn’t say he’s dating a cute redhead.”
Chester became completely flustered, and not due Esther calling him cute. Rather, it had to do with something Cyd had just said.
Chester: “B-Boyfriend?”
Cyd: “Yeah! I mean...if you want to be? It’s OK if you’d rather not put labels on our relationship, I was just -”
Chester: “No, I do. Want that, I mean. To be your...boyfriend. It’s just that...I’ve never had a boyfriend before, or a girlfriend for that matter...”
Cyd: “Bro, don’t worry about it! Trust me, you’re doing juuust fine.”
