as someone who has a fairly prominent nose (though i am that sure some would tell me otherwise, i have seen my own face and side profile) and softer jaw, i truly appreciate KCD for allowing the characters to look like Real People. a lot of this stems from the mocap nature of the game, but many games that use motion and performance capture technology don't use the actors portraying the character in performance as the face claim (or even voice claim), so seeing Theresa and her lovely round face, softer jawline and prominent nose just makes me feel so fucking happy and confident in my own facial features. i adore that they captured Tom's brow and slanting eyes in Henry, and Luke's sharp jaw and strong chin. i love that even though there are repeated npc faces and voices, they all still feel very unique thanks to the wide range of clothing available too. it's just so nice to play a game where you genuinely feel like you're talking with Actual People who Think and have Lives + the dialogues are genuinely so funny and realistic that i just get so sucked into it. anyway, that's my love letter to all the KCD actors faces because i just feel like if i got dropped into that world, people probably wouldn't look twice at my stark nose profile, or my hooded eyes, or my soft and undefined under jaw, and that's more comforting than some might realise
