     Jean squinted at her, trying to make out whatever shape was in front of him. Was it one Mikasa, or were there two? Logically, Jean knew the answer to that, but visually his eyes were playing tricks on him. He opened his mouth to speak. It was bone dry.

     “I’unno,” His words sounded foreign to him, sounding distant and echoing in his ears. He realized he didn’t really know where he was. He looked around. “When’id I ge’here?” It was becoming harder to talk. He blinked slowly, nearly falling asleep when his eyes closed. “I don’t r’member coming here?” Jean started to laugh. He was delirious.
