I am a massive White Lily and Pure Vanilla fan, genuinely the two of them take the cake as some of my favorite characters of all time. Their friendship is so so important to me.

I'm also a really big fan of all the swap au shenaniganary the costume sets have going on. I also enjoy the vibes of Virilib, but I don't enjoy it as much as Sagerecluse.

So I made an au! An incredibly, self-indulgent au!

Defying Fate and Its Consequences (or just Defying Fate) is an au that takes place in a world where Pure Vanilla went with White Lily to the Witches Banquet, and the two of them saw the truth of cookiekind. Pure Vanilla renounced Truth after having to bring White Lily back to life, and to repay her now very depressed and despondent friend, White Lily (now referring to herself as Veiled Lily) turned away from research and turned towards writing plays as a way to give Pure Vanilla (now Pale Vanilla) a form of freedom.

She also thinks it's a fun, harmless way to explore freedom and to cope with what she saw (and what happened to her) that night.

The scripts hold a... certain power of Pale Vanilla's life, controlling his fate. He does not like this and does not want to be damned after Veiled Lily hands him his latest role, but can't bring himself to tell her.

On the flipside, Sage of Truth (called the Sage of Dreams to the Faeries or Blueberry Milk if you know him personally) is looking for the lost Faerie Queen, who ruled alongside Elder Faerie before disappearing. She is searching for true happiness. And boy, does he find Eternal Sugar (called Blooming Sugar) in a place he did not expect.

There's love potion shenaniganary, but rather then falling in love with Blooming Sugar, he sets his heart onto a brooding actor.

At its core, Defying Fate is Pure Vanilla/TR and White Lily/VM centric. Truthless fits Ad Lib better to me then Viri, and I think it'd be fun to have a playwright that is Not controlling of her actor. (Not on purpose anyway.) There will be sagerecluse, just because I'm a sucker for it, and eventually, some eternalily. Because it's fun and I like it when people do that with Virilib stuff.

My asks are open, so feel free to send any asks about this au! (Please please I need to talk about them sooooo bad!) Also, the first fic is out, and I'm working on the second part!
