“I swear you look just like him!”
Their voice was whiny. Karen thought to herself her blue eyes flicking up from the pokegear on the table in front of her. She’d checked into the hotel the day before now enjoying the complimentary breakfast. Every so often she’d reward her pokemon and self with a nice stay at a hotel after a particularly good score. With Rocket being so busy just before it’s latest fall she’d making numerous deals with the grunts to do the tasks they couldn’t handle themselves. Speaking of Rocket the cause for alarm from the worker seemed tied to the infamous group.
The man was trying, and failing to keep his face hidden while remaining casual to the accusation. One quick look to him, and then to the article with a picture of the former leader was all she needed to confirm that was indeed the same person. More heads were starting to turn towards the scene, and it wouldn’t be long likely until everything was busted.
The problems of being public in anyway.
She thought to herself before grabbing her cup of coffee which was all she had left of breakfast. The pokegear was tossed into the tote bag by her feet as she stood slipping into character as she rose. All smiles now, hopefully he’d take the hint to play along with the lie.
“Darling I’m so sorry I didn’t see you come in i was busy reading. Now what’s all this about? Can I ask why you’re bothering my boyfriend while he’s just trying to have breakfast?”
Karen hummed striding up to the young hotel worker crossing her arms with a frown. No need to be fully angry yet. She just needed to set the tone.
“Boyfr...ma’m you do realize he looks like Rocket’s leader right? The one they were trying to call back after taking over the radio tower?”
They stammered back at her. With that she let her eyes darken a scowl setting in as she began to rub her temple. As if this person was the problem.
“Tch, not this again. Please we haven’t been able to have one relaxing outing since this all blew up. No, it’s not him he only looks similar because they’re boss has a face that doesn’t have the most distinct features. We just want to enjoy breakfast without being harassed.”
Karen huffed letting anger slip through, and for good measure the touch of a sniffle with her eyes going a bit misty. She could feel their conviction, and wanted to tempt their shame out. Make them feel awful for ruining a morning for two strangers. The hesitation to start his next sentence telling her she was on the right track.
