Seok wasn’t one for spending too much time outdoors. He preferred the quietude and peace of his apartment, with or without Sean in it. He had a cat in order not to feel so alone, an advice from his therapist that he figured hadn’t been that much of a problem since he actually enjoyed having a pet. Not that his therapist’s advice were troubling to him, but Seok-li found them to be to demanding of him. Go outside. Let people in. Learn how to trust. That was easier said than done--and going outside, some days, was a tricky thing. He didn’t consider himself lucky for having found Ethan--not in the way most people thought he would. Like they both had gone through trauma and held onto one another for support. It wasn’t like all like that. Ethan was more than a simple life thread, a life support. You know, finding someone who used to have so much light in them, and then something happened and that light suddenly went off and all was left was a void that no matter how people tried filling it, it still remained there. He was however, lucky to have found someone to share everything with... both good and bad things. A soulmate, as he’d told himself once.
When they announced the arrival of the spring fair, Seok was excited to have a chance to enjoy it with Shion, since he was big enough to handle the crowds without too much trouble. So, he placed an invitation to Ethan, asking if she’d like to go with them and he couldn’t help but to get even more excited that she’d said yes.
Seok was in the kitchen, making his and Sean’s breakfast when the doorbell rang. “Who’s that?” Seok smiled at his kid, who looked at the door rather curiously. “Is it 이모 Ethan?” The name alone was enough to steal a gasp from little Sean’s lips and it made him run to the door, rather excitingly. It gave Seok enough time to wipe off his hands and follow his kid to the door. “Go on... ask ‘who’s there?’” He said in a sing-song voice as he picked Sean up, certain that Ethan could hear him from the other side, to which, Sean was quick to give an attempt and repeat his dad’s words, but all that was heard was some mumbling and the word ‘there’. Seok opened the door slowly and his Sean helped, the second his big black eyes landed on Ethan, he squealed happily. “ 이모!” Shaking his head, Lee watched as Sean stretched his arms towards Ethan and chuckled softly. “Yes, that’s 이모 Ethan. Let’s say good morning?” He then shifted his attention to his friend and smiled, stepping aside to let her in. “Have you had breakfast yet? Do you want to join us?”
