Moments from our finale session of Etharia that made me emotional: Rory bringing Eli back to life for Vesper and when Vesper said she didn’t have to if she she didn’t want to and Rory saying “For you Vesper I would do anything”

Miranda holding Vesper’s hand as Eli was brought back

Vesper crying while holding Eli and then hitting him on the chest and yelling at him for keeping secrets from her that got him killed. Then her later telling him all the things he missed by giving him the trinkets and things she’d collected and set by his grave while he was gone.

Rory offerings jobs/places in her household to both Miranda and Vesper so they don’t have to be separated. Vesper and Rory crying together over the prospect of their kids growing up together and being friends.

Here’s a more full rendition of Vesper with her all her gear. She looks really intense, and she is when she’s angry, but she’s actually a total sweetheart and pretty bubbly.  (she’s my eldritch knight fighter)

Rory: *casts Wish to give Mozarth vulnerability to all damage and prevent him from being healed*

Rory: I made a fucking promise asshole. *flies backward*

My thought process as a player last night:

*frantically looking for spells to use Wish with even before the fight has started*

*fight starts, BBEG & his layer do somewhere in the ballpark of 500-600+ dmg to the party in like...the first 2 turns of combat, the paladin has already used her ability to come back at 1 and the realization of how high the dc must be*

"Oh god oh god we're all gonna die." *still frantic, casts Holy Aura wishing it was the action I held before the fight and realizing I forgot to cast Crown of Stars and Conjure Celestial too*

*continues to go badly for the group, BBEG also heals*

"Eh, if we die we die."

*still trying to find something to do with Wish to realizing:

"I exist to cause problems."

*cast Wish to give him vulnerability to all dmg and to prevent him from healing despite it making my character functionally useless and a target for the rest of the encounter*

"I made a goddamn promise asshole."

*now slowly dying but it was worth it*

Give it up for my dnd character's husband who has spent multiple fights now acting as a medic for his wife.
