     the sun is shining bright above alexander’s head. he’s throwing a frisbee around with a couple other friends, and he smiles, yells out in encouragement, as someone catches the disk between their hands. it’s easy, relaxed, and it’s everything summer feels like it should be. a few throws later and alex finds the frisbee in his hands once more. he scans around at the circle, debating who to throw to when he recognizes amelia walking along. he doesn’t know if she’s even noticed him there. alexander can’t help himself. he cups a hand around his mouth and yells across the circle. “hey, amelia!” everyone’s heads swivel towards her. he raises a hand in greeting, and smiles again. it’s different though; it’s the smile he gives when he’s trying to win people over. “catch!” before she can even think about refusing, he throws the frisbee towards her, nice and easy. / @ethcrevls

      usually, sloan carrington never had any leisure time. she was either focused on her studies or on her sport; both taking up the majority of her days. but today was different— she had tennis practice early at six this morning, classes following and her homework being completed before noon. in a house as big as her’s and sebastian’s, one would assume that she’d have plenty of ways to keep herself occupied but that is far from the truth. this is one of those rare times where the wealthy blond was bored. acting quickly, she calls her best and probably on girl friend alexandria graham to come spend the night with her; deciding that there was nothing wrong with having a girl’s night. plus, she gets to spend time with one of the very few people she genuinely enjoys being around. it’s a win-win situation.

     phone is held in hand, cherry lips puckering as she poses for a video to later post on her social media. sloan stares at herself in her vanity with a confidence glint in her eyes, head tilting to the side slightly as her hair falls over her shoulder like a blond waterfall. a pink hearts filter is added to match her lipstick, bubbly laugh vibrating from her throat as she records herself for a few brief seconds before ending it.  “  don’t i look good in this, lexi?  ”  voice breaks the silence in the room, she turns to face the brunette who seems to be glaring at her with what looks like judgement.  “  oh, don’t give me that look. come, take one with me.  ”  beckoning the other to join her, she pats the rectangular vanity stool she is currently seated on.  /  @ethcrevls

     cynthia finished applying her red lipstick, checking herself in the mirror before flashing her date for the night a smile— telling him she was ready to go. currently, the two were in the backseat of the limousine he’d rented for the night and on their way to very pretentious and exclusive gala. it had been the first time in what felt like forever ( a week to be exact ) that cynthia had actually wanted to go out. ever since she and omar had split up, the brunette had not even bothered to leave her bed. he wasn’t there for her anymore and it hurt her. despite all the negative things her friends—more like everyone— had said about omar, deep down cynthia knew that he wasn’t a bad person. he loved her and was the only person to ever show her any type of affection. now that he wasn’t with her anymore, cynthia had let those walls that he had torn down back up and she promised herself not to get attatched anymore. her heart only had room for one man and that one man was him.

      so, cynthia returned to her old job— in bed with another man every night. however on this particular evening, she had been hired as a date to the gala. she was thrilled, all those dresses in her closet were begging to be worn. she was familiar with the man who had hired, seeing as he was a regular and the only one omar knew about. there she goes thinking about him again. as they arrived to the event, cynthia smirked and linked arms with her date, seamlessly walking into the very nicely decorated ballroom. she was in awe— everything looked so beautiful. now, she had promised herself to enjoy the night and to not think about omar; he was gone. they were done. end of story. as her eyes scanned the room, she saw familiar clients faces which caused her cheeks to blush. just as her date went to whisper something into her ear, cynthia’s gaze fell on the last person whom she’d expected to see. omar. she swallowed the lump in her throat, turning away from him and guiding her date to the other side of the room. she hoped he hadn’t see her but she knew she was wrong— the red dress she was wearing made her stick out like a sore thumb.

     after the funeral, somehow, things only got worse. somehow, the fact that they had never even seen bunny’s body almost made it so bunny haunted will in a way he hadn’t before. now, will saw bunny everywhere. bunny liked visiting his dreams the most, often came to tamper with the memories will had of the two of them. he’d recognize the structure of what he was seeing, and then, as if will was a guest in his own head, bunny would turn and acknowledge him. will would always startle awake before anything ever came out of bunny’s mouth. so he’d been getting less sleep than he had before. which isn’t to say that he slept well before, but it’s the only time in his life he can remember something like this bothering him so much it affected even the little sleep he did get. 

     he strained his head to look at the clock on his nightstand. it was only four in the morning. he’d only slept the hour before. he rubbed groggily at his eyes, and sat up in his bed, looking around at the darkness of his room. will realized he needed to go back to sleep. living off of only an hour wouldn’t be healthy, certainly not when the others were looking to him to keep their heads on straight. as the days pass, he wonders what would happen if he just allowed himself to take the blame for it all. if everything would finally just stop and he could just rest easy knowing the others would be cleared of suspicion. because the alternative is the purgatory he is living in now, where the paranoia of richard and francis continue to chip away at his resolve and jack’s outbursts were becoming increasingly threatening and violent. the alternative is knowing he could relieve juliette from having to worry about her brother, but also knowing he is too selfish to do such a thing. because, after everything, she is still the only reason he can’t bring himself to taking the blame. he glances at his phone on his nightstand, tempted to call her. 

     it could be so simple, if they would just let it. he just wants to hear her voice. not even that, the bare whisper of her voice, telling him they’ll be just fine. and if not that, then will would settle for just the sound of her even breathing over the phone, reminding him that it is as simple as an exhale. 

     he wants to call, but he is afraid that jack will be on the other end. another minute passes, and william closes his eyes. when sleep doesn’t come, he finally reaches for his phone to call her. “juliette?” he whispers when the call is picked up. “go for a drive with me, will you?” / @ethcrevls

ethan manages to slip behind daniela, wrapping both his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder.  “  honestly, wyatt is eating this shit up.  ”  he whispers into her ear, looking over to where their friend was and how intently he was watching the two. fake dating dani these past two weeks has been a lot of fun. it was like having a girlfriend without all the baggage that came with a real relationship. he’s never met anyone who’s matched his energy, so being around her was just fun. placing a kiss on her neck to really sell it, he pulls back and spins her around so that they’re both facing each other,  “  since he’s here, i don’t think i’ll be able to screw around as much as i wanted. looks like you’re stuck with me tonight. which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. some might say you’re lucky.  ”

    when the professor finally dismisses them, meredith finishes packing up the rest of her things quickly. for the last ten minutes, she’s been slowly and discreetly putting things away to make this part faster because she doesn’t want to miss her opportunity. she stands from where she’s sitting and makes her way to the raven-haired girl sitting a few rows away from her. “hey,” meredith stops in front of the other who is in the midst of zipping up her bag. “amelia, right?” she readjusts her bag, unsure of how to say what she wanted to say. “that thing you said today in class? that was really smart.” and smart wasn’t even enough to describe what she meant— what she wanted to say was that she wanted to know every single opinion amelia had on absolutely anything. “i’m meredith, by the way.” she sticks her hand out for the other to shake, and it feels embarrassingly formal. “but my friends like to call me mer.” / @ethcrevls

     meredith has always liked summer in oxford much more than she’s liked summer anywhere else. she’s always liked the breeze in her hair, how it tangled it ever so slightly. even more, she liked how her friends were only ever a moment away, how she could call any of their names in their tiny apartment, and they’d be answering. it was going to be one of the last warm days of the year, and, with classes beginning again soon, mer was desperate for an adventure, a walk, whatever thing that would let her out of the apartment and out in the fresh air. she knocks on peter’s door because, as much as she enjoys her solitary walks, she can’t imagine wasting this day just to be alone. “peter,” she half-sings his name, drags out the last syllable as she rocks back and forth on the balls of her feet. “let’s go to the beach. i can hear the ocean all the way from here, and she’s calling your name.” she’s got her picnic basket in her hand, and her floppy hat in the other. all she needs is peter to complete the day. / @ethcrevls

"i think i'm falling in love with you" for jess and dylan i'm too lazy to log in :p

dylan  stays  silent  as  jess’  words  weigh  heavy  between  them  both.  his  heart  pounds  against  chest  loudly  ;  he  wouldn’t  be  surprised  if  she  could  hear  the  rhythmically  thumps  from  where  she  was.  part  of  him  wants  to  pinch  himself  to  make  sure  this  wasn’t  a  dream  (  a  dream  he’s  had  only  a  million  times  since  he  started  dating  jess  )   or  that  he  wasn’t  lost  in  his  own  thoughts  again  ––––  but  he’s  been  quiet  for  one  full  minute  now  and  he  doesn’t  want  to  make  jesss  think  that  the  feeling  isn’t  mutual.  because  it  is.    “    you–––– -  you  sure?    ”    as soon  as  the  words  slip  past  his  lips,  he  regrets  them.  you  sure,  what  a  moronic  thing  to  say  when  someone  confesses  their  feelings  to  you.    “    not  you  sure,  because  i‘m  sure  you  know  you’re  sure––––    ”    he  sits  up  straight  from  his  position  in  the  bed  of  his  truck,  taking  her  hand  in  his,    “    i’m  really  nervous  right  now.    ”  dylan  admits  with  a  soft  chuckle,  licking  his  lips  as  he  gazes  into  her  eyes  thinking  of  something  to  say.  it  was a  lot  to  unpack,  and  while  dylan  taupo  is  always  prepared  for  anything  life  throws  his  way  :  he  was  caught  very  off  guard  with  this  confession.    “    you  are   so  special  to  me,  jess.  you’re  the  first  girl  i’ve  had a  crush  on,  my  first  real  girlfriend.  being  with  you  is  so  surreal.  ”    he  flashes  her  a  small  smile,    “    i  never  imagined  meeting  someone  who  understood  me  the  way  you  do,  even  though  i’m  convinced  that  you  still  don’t  understand  me  completely  and  i  don’t  blame  you  ––––  i’m  a  lot.    ”    another  laugh,  this  time  he  brings  his  fingers  up  to  tuck  a  few  strands  of  her  hair  behind  her  ear,    “    what  i’m  trying  to  say  is  that  i  fell  for  you  so  hard,  i  think  i  still  have  a  few  bruises  somewhere  from  how  harsh  the  fall  was.    ”    it’s  corny  but  it’s  dylan,  and  he’s  never  been  ashamed  to  stop  being  himself  with  her,  even  though  he  manages  to  get  on  her  nerves  all  of  the  time.    “    i  love  you,  jess.  if  there’s  anything  you  got  out  of  my  rambles  just  then  ––––  it’s  that  i  love  you  and  i  never  want  you  to  feel  like  feelings  are  going  to  get  lost  on  my  end,  because  they're  not.    ”    he  leans  in  to  place a  kiss  on  her  forehead,  his  eyes  glistening  in  admiration  for  jessca  hayes.
