"I actually barely know anything about fortune telling, but this is how I think it’s done, Ms. Cynthia.” The researcher explained, shuffling a deck of tarot cards. “First you have to clear your deck by shuffling it, like this. I’ve heard that some people have their own traditions, like giving the deck a ‘light bath’ or something, but I don’t know how it’s done.”

Then, he placed the deck on the table in front of him and split it in half with his left hand. “Then you do this, and place the top half on the left. Now that we have two piles, you choose the card on top of the right half and turn it over. It’s easier if you start with a 3-card spread.”

Finally, he turned the three cards over. “Hmm... An inverted 3 of pentacles, the knight of wands and the high priestess."

"Of course, Cynthia." Steven smirked at the blonde.

With a quick glance over Cynthia making sure she too was unharmed, he walked with her through the Center's doors.

"Oh, it's not prying at all!" He waved his hand at her, almost apologetically. "I'm sure that as a fellow champion you understand the importance of a Pokecenter near your league, especially after your own sparring."

With a small laugh he pulled out a Pokeball. "After Drake, my metagross here is the only one still capable of fighting."
