Never had he fathomed something like this, and certainly this scenario never played in his mind. But it was going on; this was actually happening, and he had expected her to be swift about it, but her lips lingered on the corner of his mouth for a good five seconds, probably the longest five he had ever gone through. Immediately after, Reyn's face grew much too warm--was this hotter than Makna Forest?--and if he did look in a mirror, he would have seen his face colored brightly scarlet that would go noticed by anyone. 

"Melia, uh..." He was at a loss of words. What had prompted her to do this in the first place? "Was it meant ta be friendly...?"

Once he opened his eyes, the sun was beaming right at him. Reyn groaned at sudden immense light, picking up his upper half of his body and glanced around him. A light smile tugged at his lips as he took a fond look at the group--Shulk, Fiora, Sharla, Riki, and Dunban--sleeping comfortably on the picnic blanket and figured that after everything they've been through, each of them deserved this much. The colonies were rebuilt, the new world was united and at peace, and everything was alright again.

Wait. But Melia...?

He turned around and caught sight of her, sitting lonesome in the middle of a field of small flowers, busy with her fingers at some sort of recreational task. Quietly, not wishing to wake the others, he stood up and walked over to the girl.

"Oi, Melia," he started off, eyebrows buried with a questioning gaze, "whatcha doin' by yourself? Ain't catching a break like the rest of us?"

Now that he wasn't so preoccupied with trying to follow and even change the visions that the Monado had given him, it was rather unbelievable just what Shulk hadn't been paying attention to until now. Eryth Sea was refreshingly different from Colony 6, and only now did he take time to properly admire the area for its beauty.

Shulk had found himself standing at the top of Syrath Lighthouse, getting one of the best views possible of Eryth Sea. He was silently wondering to himself just how he would go about describing this place to the Homs back at Colony 9. He knew they'd never seen anything quite like this before. In his thoughts, he was completely oblivious to a second party standing nearby, presumably also taking in the sights.

"A-Alvis…? Melia almost found herself about to question why he was here, but perhaps that was best saved for later, she was already struggling to breathe as it was due to exhaustion and due to fear at the moment.  Mustering her strength she pushed herself up somewhat with one arm, and took his hand after some difficulty with her free hand.

「✦」-- He grabs her hand, hauling the half Hom, half High Entian princess up off the ledge upon which she had been thrown. "You should be more careful princess; It will not always be revealed to me that you are in peril. Fate has favored you thus far." 

He suddenly jerked away from her, attention drawn to the High Entian escort given to him by the Emperor, who were currently battling the monster who had so grievously wounded their princess. "Come Princess Melia. We must make haste if we are to escape this threat as we are."
