My jacket is slowly creeping toward completion. Which is good, because it is February 1st, and I fly out on February 19th.

Sewed down the pocket flaps and tacked the pockets inside the jacket. I've also pinned a strip of grosgrain to the inside of the plackets. If I can do the zipper before I go, I'll sew it onto the ribbon and do another strip to finish it. If not (and I've never sewn a zipper, so I don't want to rush it), the ribbon adds a nice touch and gives it some weight.

The large patch is almost done - just have the green left. I'll pin them in place and use the yarn to whip stitch them on.

Everything was bought online. The only thing I could color match in person was the embroidery floss to the yarn. The ribbon isn't a perfect match to my sleeves, but I think I got it abbot as close as possible.

I'm rather pleased with myself.

Can't wait to get it finished and start wearing it!

So, in about 12 hours, I'll be heading to the train station to begin a journey that will take me thousands of miles from home, three timezones away. I'm going to meet a musical group I literally became a fan of in kindergarten. (I've met one of them before, but never the other 4.) I'm meeting up with a group of other fans that I've gotten to know via a group text, but I've only met one in person before. I know I want to see other shows while I'm there but I haven't bought tickets yet.

It feels weird that I'm on my own toilet right now, when five days from now I'll be meeting those guys.

Decided to branch out from my usual subject matter for the #90spopmusiccollab collab by @calvillo.creations and @katiegirlcreates. I had so much fun playing with different colors and styles! PS: These guys released a new album about a year ago and you'll be happy to know they still SLAP. PPS: The background in my photos is all the scrap thread and end cuts I've collected over 3+ years. I finally found a use for them 😁
