Overstepping privacy boundaries is another main concept I avoid on social media. I don’t share anyone’s information such as pictures, videos, or post with their consent. I believe permission from individuals included in a picture or video should be given as this violates their privacy and oversteps their boundaries. Five core concepts that will follow me as a practicing social media professional would are ethical advertising, inclusivity promotion, staying up to date, accuracy, and truthfulness. By practicing core concepts such as ethical advertising this ensures all promotional content accommodates to ethical guidelines. Also, promoting diversity and inclusivity will help produce engaging content with interactions. Staying up to date on modern practices and upcoming trends in social media ethics will help me foster more engaging content that draws in interactions. Being accurate and verifying facts before sharing information is another core concept that will follow me as a social media professional. By backchecking information and confirming information is correct before sharing to the audience. Lastly truthfulness and transparency will be one of my main core concepts that will follow me. By clearly disclosing any problems or collaborations with brands to convey honesty to the audience.
