Bulgu

[My first commission! This one was done for @wannabedemonlord. If you’re interested in a commission, info is here.]
Bulgu This giant gray creature has a thick, rhino-like hide, stumpy arms and legs, and a head like an axe blade. It has four beady black eyes set over its ravenous maw.
Even other monsters fear the bulgu. These relentless predators delight in tormenting their prey and gain as much nutrition from the anguish and fear of other creatures as from actually eating the flesh. In order to properly season their victims, they engage in vicious mind games—slowly killing all of the members of a family, extorting promises from survivors and then punishing them when broken, and drawing out a pursuit into a leisurely hunt are all favored tactics.
Bulgus delight in combat, and they enjoy drawing out a conflict by scattering foes with fear, and then picking them off one by one. The bladed head of a bulgu can be used like an axe-blade, and those adversaries who can survive one of their devastating charges are usually stunned in the sheer force, making them easy pickings to be grabbed and devoured alive. Locked doors and thick walls mean nothing to a bulgu, which can pass through them with ease. Any creature that escapes a bulgu is spied on from afar for days or weeks, the creature waiting until their victim is on the edge of completely breaking down before returning to finish the job.
A bulgu stands about twelve feet tall and weighs about 1,800 pounds. They are usually solitary creatures, but popobalas may follow in their wake to enjoy the terror they create.
Excuse me? A pan-African folklore anthology? This looks pretty good!
It has stories in different art styles.
