Anat & Pablo - she is from Israel and he is from Chile - bought an 84-square-meter (904 sq. ft.) apartment in Brooklyn and use it not only as a residence, but also as a recording studio.
The music “studio” is in the corner of their living room.
Anat likes to mix things from different places in the world they visited, but she bought most of the furniture and accessories in the apartment on Craigslist and local flea markets. "This is the beauty of New York in my opinion: the reality, " she says.
They can’t renovate the apartment all at once, but make small renovations from time to time. And they do everything themselves.
Despite the meager means, the couple managed to create a pleasant bohemian-ethnic atmosphere in their home, which I think is an inspiration. A reporter from TimeOut NY who visited the apt., described it as "a residence of Moroccan flower children."
"I am in love with pink and red," says Anat. And also in the world of fantasy and theater, which is all reflected in the bedroom decor.
Their apt. is so personal and vibrant, it makes the bathroom look tame, although it does have some mosaic accents and a faux mother-of-pearl toilet seat.
