Spade symbol - combat - all muses
For every ♠ I receive, I will post a headcanon about my muse!
J’Sria: The Khajiit in combat is not a pretty sight. She may know how to use a sword, but it is not elegant. She’ll hack and slash wildly, and only vaguely at important parts of an opponent. For a couple of reasons. One, she’s not a warrior or full of battle lust. She’ll fight to defend, mostly. Two, she puts much more time into her alchemy. Technically, she is a spellsword, using a combination of magic and weapons in battle. Her purpose for it though is to turn around and sell her wares. The potions and poisons she makes are where she stakes her lively hood. But before she can sell those, she has to know how well they work. Which means she’ll have coated her sword in something or other. So hitting the opponent vaguely works for her.
Etivia: A tip Etivia was taught when she was young was that if she ever got behind an opponent, wrap the legs around the hips, planting the heels in the inner thighs. One arm over a shoulder, one under, curl fingers in and tuck thumbs. This pretty much leaves you at a stalemate. Except, the first time Etivia actually had to use it, her legs accidentally sliced the femoral artery. Now she knows that, in combat, this hold isn’t just defensive, but lethal.
Taihjak: Jak has an interesting relationship with combat. He was raised to be a fighter. More specifically, he was raised to be a protector. But, that hasn’t always gone well for him. Now, he’ll prefer to talk his way out of a situation, or run, or pay gold even. Combat to him is a last resort. Then, when he does have to fight, he doesn’t like to drag it out. Stun an opponent if he has to, disarm them, distract, kill them if nothing else. Quickly, painlessly if possible, nothing more than necessary.
