"Do you remember this?"

Bella leaned down, wrapping her arms around their neck as she looked at the picture they were holding. “ Is this when we put a cockroach inside of Rabastan’s bed? How old were we again? Six? We thought it was the greatest prank ever. Poor guy didn’t even know what was coming. You know... we haven’t done something as stupid as that in a long time. Who should be our next victim? ”

“Creep,” Lily answered promptly, exaggerating a grimace. “Creepy creepy creepy. Norman Bates creepy. Cross the street if you see them coming creepy. Baaad vibes.” She shivered. “All the bad juju.”

Whatever her expression on her face was before, it was dropped the instant they opened their mouth. Her posture turned rigid, her eyes turned steely, she was already having none of what they wanted to say. She just tilts her head the side --- like she had seen her sister do many times before --- with a raised eyebrow and a hand on her hip.  ‘ And what do you know of MY PART, hm ? Do you just think I’m a pretty face to be kept at home with the children and the house elves ? Do you think that’s all I’m good for ? Pray tell, what would your WIFE think about that insinuation ? ’  The corner of her mouth canted up,  ‘ I appreciate that you’re so worried about your FAMILY, but worry more about yourself, dear Rodolphus. ’

"Where are my clothes?"

‘ Oh I threw those out, ’  she said without even looking up from her issue of Witch Weekly. Narcissa was sprawled out on a chaise in the Lestrange’s reading room, lounging about waiting for her sister to finish up whatever disciplinary action she had to take towards a house elf.  ‘ Your wardrobe was terribly out of season and worn. But don’t worry, dear Rodolphus, I’ve taken the liberty of ordering you the finest from Milan and Paris. I take it’ll arrive in the next few hours. ’

"Put it away.”

Amelia lowered her wand at him, “Merlin, Rodolphus, what are you doing here so late?” It was far too late to be still working at least for a typical Ministry employee, but out of bureaucratic protocol she knew better than to interrogate him.  One day she would find the cracks in the armor of Rodolphus Lestrange, however for now she had to meet with her brother.

"I already regret this."

That makes two of us, he thought. Outwardly, Ted grinned and beared it, knowing very well it could be way worse. It could be the other Lestrange twin he was conferring with, and Ted’s younger self thanked his lucky stars it wasn’t. At least they were in the public arena, a press conference of all things, which hopefully dissuaded Rodolphus from doing anything.

"You owe me."

Ted took a step back, a wrong move in retrospect. He could see now that it was proof that he had an inkling of fear in his body, that it was the worst thing to show someone like them --- like Rodolphus Lestrange.  ‘ Um, ’  he thought for a moment, trying to think of what he could possibly say without being compliant or resistant.  ‘ I beg your pardon ? ’

"They’re coming.”

Hogwarts wasn’t meant to tear them apart. They were suppose to grow closer. Frank has always thought so highly of Rodolphus, after all they were once close. But it seems that they decided to leave Frank behind. They found new friends and so did Frank. However, the company that Rodolphus chose to be around where people he found to be a bad influence. If only Rodolphus would just listen to him, just seeing things from his point of view. But they were just as stubborn as he was. “ Fine. Whatever. I’ll leave. Have fun terrorizing people in the halls. ”
